I love capturing real moments and people and to be able to create visual memories to help you remember those important events and people who mean a lot to you, for years to come.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Taking photographs has become my way of reflecting on life and the important people around me. Making sense of what life throws at you became a hard reality, when our then 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer in July 2013. She is now in remission but all through her diagnosis and treatment of 1.5 years I recorded a daily visual diary of her journey on Facebook and her website. Her images are regularly used by Clic Sargent and also Cancer Research Kids & Teens. Capturing the truth of our situation, the pain as well as the happy moments showed me again that what I truly want to aim for, is to capture the real essence of who people are and what they mean to each other. After this experience having photography as only a passion and hobby wasn't enough for me anymore and my wish to take it to the next level as well as enquiries for photography sessions prompted me to start my own business.
