When I first contacted Nicholas, I knew his whimsical, charming style would be perfect for my story. I had high expectations, and Nicholas exceeded them. The illustrations for my book are everything I had envisioned and more. Nicholas always listened to my ideas and incorporated them. He then would wave his magic wand and put his clever, magical touch on them. Well where do I start with Nicholas! We started working together in May of this year and it has just been wonderful the whole way through.
His communication was impeccable and he worked tirelessly to ensure the work he was produced was nothing but perfect.
Not only is he polite, engaging and responsive, he is extremely talented and his work just blew me away.
He took my multiple emails, notes and messages and really took on board exactly what I’d asked for but with his own creative twist on top that I could never have done! He is incredible at the small details that really make a book shine.

What do you love most about your job?
What are the best parts of being a illustrator? Being able to create on a daily basis. Being able to see a sketch or idea turn into a finished piece and then into a physical product is so rewarding! I also love being able to work with a wide range of clients on so many different kinds of projects.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After suffering with depression, I returned to my childhood love of illustration and built a successful greeting cards business, selling our designs into Paperchase, Sainsbury's and internationally. Now I illustrate children's books and editorial illustrations.
