Run by two local lads this lodges have it all. I stayed in Maple lodge with friends and their 2 children. We all loved the design of it, loved the remoteness of it, loved the luxury of it. You can tell lots of thought has gone in to it all right down to the welcome basket of necessities at arrival and the new games supplied (Monopoly, Dobble etc) We were blessed with clear skies for a pretty sunset between the trees and a night of star gazing in the hot tub. There are some lovely walks to do around the lodges and no doubt the local area. Hexham, a small market town is only 15 minutes drive away but this place is ideal for forgetting about the outside world and just enjoying time with family, friends and loved ones. More...

5 of us hired this beautiful lodge as we were due to go to new castle race day. Unfortunately the weather was awful so we decided NOT to attend the races. Instead we stayed at the lodge and had a lovely BBQ and enjoyed the hot tub. It wasn’t a hard choice, because the lodge and location is simply amazing! I’m getting married next year and will be bringing my hens to this lodge, for a walking trip and cosy get together! The owners were superb, the check in was easy and check out just as easy. The owner was exceptionally polite. The welcome basket left for us was a beautiful touch. Can not recommend this place enough. We didn’t want to leave. It felt like we were in a Scandinavian lodge.
