Neti’s small works division team has just finished the works to my property in Southgate, (refurbishing and a single rear extension) they wore hard workers with a very good attitude, they’ve done an amazing job with a reasonable price, finished all the works within the budget except from extra works that i asked them to do out of their quotation. Before you go ahead with your garage conversion, you need to know three main things first.
1- Restrictive clauses
2- Planing permission
3- Building regulations
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
1- Check structure is suitable for conversion.
2- Produce design drawings.
3- Confirm whether planing permission is required.
4- Apply if consent is required.
5- Produce detailed design & building regulation drawings.
6- Notify local authority building control of commencement.
7- Strip garage back to retained structure.
8- Structural alteration, including knocking down through to house.
9- Damp- proof new floor, if nessesery.
10- Insolate walls & new floor,plus the roof if single storey.
11- Poor new floor if required.
12- Install new doors & windows.
13- First fix joinary, wiring & plumbing.
14- Plaster & dry- line.
15- Skirting,architrave,fixed floor finishes & light fittings.
