What’s your interior design process?
The process can be tailored to meet your individual needs. However, we do have packages from Bronze to Platinum for your to select from.
We always start with a conversation to define your needs and goals for the interior. Not only do we focus on the space, but we also look at how you use the space. What do you do in your space? Do you read? Eat? Have friends? What time of day do you use the room? These are all important factors that can determine the design of the room.
What I love to do is to create a story map of your needs and from this the designs will come!
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We can cater for all design styles, however we do specialise in modern luxury interiors, transitional design and contemporary.
What do you love most about your job?
We have a passion for house renovation and there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a client love their home and have that "pinch me" moment each time they are in their space. We love to go above and beyond to create your dream interior!
What inspired you to start your own business?
We have been running our own businesses for over 10 years and have been renovating property for ourselves and for investment for this time too. Our knowledge and experience has led to us setting up Nelson Homes and Interiors.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are one of very few companies that take a holistic approach to interior design, not just focusing on if it looks nice, or if it is practical (this is a given!)... but we take it one step further and look at "is this space usable for your specific needs". We get to really understand how you live and you as individuals. We believe there should always be a reason behind why we are doing something, to ensure we are adding value to your lives.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
At the moment we are at full capacity for in-person design. Therefore, we are offering our design services only online and remotely. Communication is top priority, so to ensure our clients are comfortable we are happy to use whatsapp, text messages, voxer or email to keep engaged.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of our work through bark is currently online. Samples will come directly from manufacturers and suppliers.
Vision Boards
Vision Boards for Interior Designers are a great way to become inspired and turn your vision into reality. We can start with a piece of art you have, some inspiration or colours or we can help you visualise your dream space.
Textiles Boards
Textile Boards allow you to get a feel for exactly how the materials from your Vision Board will be, we can source flooring samples, wall samples and so much more so you can get an even better idea of what finishing materials will be like.
2D Floorplan
A 2D floorplan allows you to get a good idea of your space and how much room you have for furniture. It can be a costly and frustrating mistake when you buy things that don't quite fit, so let us help you avoid that and create you a simple floorplan.
3D Renders
Want to see what your room will look like in reality? Why not have a 3D Render so that you can see exactly what the finished product will look like! You'll be able to walk through the finished design in super high definition so that you can see what it will look like before we even touch a paint brush! The main benefit of this, is that you can make changes to your space before you spend any money.
Furniture Sourcing
Trying to find the right piece of furniture, within your budget to go into your space, can be a little overwhelming. We can simplify the process by searching for the perfect pieces!
Colour Palette Consultations
And colour is a key part of the process. But, just like anything else, creativity takes work and practice to develop over time. One way to get started on that path is with a colour palette consultation from an expert designer who can help you choose which colours will be best for your project and even send you samples for you to try!
Designer By Your Side
Having a designer by your side throughout your project is great for quick questions and tough design decisions. You can simply whatsapp or email us and we will be there to support you along the way!
