Level 2 - RICS HomeBuyer Report
This type of survey is ideal for conventional properties typically built after the second world war (i.e. less than around 70 years old) with no major alterations.
The HomeBuyer Report:
Identifies visible defects and gives advice as to what repairs are required.
Gives commentary on any major future maintenance requirements.
Looks at the inside and outside of the property as well as the gardens/grounds.
Can be provided with or without a valuation.
Level 3 - RICS Building Survey
This is known as a 'full building survey' or 'structural survey'. It is recommended for older properties (pre-1945); listed buildings; homes which have undergone major renevation / alteration; larger homes; or those of non-standard / uncommon construction types (such as concrete, metal or timber frame).
