How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
The floor construction of a loft conversion is often made from 200mm & steel timber with an 18mm chip board
The flat roof is often comprised of 150mm steel and timber + 100mm firing piece + 18mm ply and 50mm up-stand. Recent regulations also require you to have 30mm insulation underneath the timbers with a 12mm plasterboard to finish.
If your hoping to achieve a minimum of 2 meter head height the minimum height you would need would be 2,578 of height for it all do fit.
If you are short a 150 mill or so you might manage if you know a good builder ?

Main milestones in accending order.
Scafolding, floor steels and joists, loft dormer itself, flatroof and fibreglass, stairs, roofing, window fitting, scafold down, electrical, carpentry and plumbing first fix, plasterboard, plaster, electrical, carpentry and plumbing second fix, paint and clean.

How long have you been in business?
I started my carpentry apprenticeship in 2005, over the last 20 years ive worked on vairous comercial sites from local house building in redbridge to the barbican to the shard.
In that time i gained wealth of building and management experience, also understanding about the construction industry as a whole.
I currently run my own construction business which ive run since 2019.
In the future i aspire for our company to build homes on scale like the building sites i grew up on.
