What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
There is no secret!
I think the key is knowing the style and what the client wants and they intend to use the image(s) and building a relationship/chemistry with who you are taking a photo of (if it is a person or animal).
There are so many different styles of photography you need to understand the images intent ended audience.
There are basics to photography, such as good light, good composition but there are no defined rules and if there are rules they can often be broken.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is the intended use of the content?
What are your hopes for the content?
Do you have any styles/examples in mind?
What is your timescale/turn around time (how flexible is this)?
What do you love most about your job?
Most often is meeting the different people the job introduces me to and then creating something that they are really happy with.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to build something for myself and my family that we could all be proud of and I wanted to be able to work around my young family so I was there to see them grow up. (They're now 7 & 10!!)
