What do you love most about your job?
I was interested in consulting from my university days. What attracted me the most is that every opportunity is a new challenge with varying degrees of difficulty. This definitely gets me out of bed instead of being at a desk five days a week. Every time I started a new project there was a buzz around getting off on the right foot, i.e getting the right team members on the team, meeting the client, and getting deep into the project.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Throughout my professional career, I have been a part-time business consultant. I almost found it to be a hobby. I couldn't initially walk out of my full-time employment to pursue my business. This was due to risks associated with finding new clients and networking. I gradually, over a 3 year period, built up a client base to financially secure myself on my first year out. This enabled me to focus heavily on marketing and targeting local businesses in need of my service.

We have a vast amount of experience from management system implementation, continual improvement, business/ strategic planning and marketing.
We prominently work within the Aerospace & Defence sector in Northern Ireland. This does not limit our capabilities as we have worked with public service sectors, charities, and other service clients right across the UK and Ireland.
Our principal consultant, Aaron Furphy, has been at top-level management positions in some of the biggest engineering firms in Northern Ireland. Using this experience along with academical achievements gives Mourne Management Systems a well rounded skill set to suit many different types of businesses.
