What kind of accounting services do you provide?
I provide the following services:
1) Bookkeeping - sales & purchase ledger management, VAT returns, bank account management.
2) Accountancy - balance sheet account reconciliations, cash flow, management accounts, budgets, forecasting, Year End audit file preparation, business plans
3) Payroll - processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, submission of data to HMRC, processing of payroll Year End.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
All business need to know how much available cash they have. They also need to be able to manage their costs in line with their revenue. A great accountant will take pride in their work and will ensure that the accounts of the business are up to date and reconciled on a regular basis, so that they can provide the business with accurate, up to date results. A great accountant will know intuitively what the needs of the business are and be able to recommend changes, which will benefit the company going forward.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with figures and relaying results to businesses in a format that they can understand easily.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Most small business owners would prefer to spend their time running their business as opposed to "shuffling paper". They also need help understanding HMRC and other statutory regulations. As I have plenty of experience working and running small businesses, I felt that I could channel my knowledge and expertise into providing consultancy services to help small businesses owners with the administrative side of running their businesses.
