Personal Assistant Carer


I have worked in different types of settings for over 10 years in the Adult Social Care industry. I have occupied various roles including, but not limited to: Occupational Therapy Assistant, Rehab Assistant and Community Carer. Within these roles I have delivered a high quality of care to people from diverse cultural backgrounds in the comfort of their homes.


I have worked with a range of clients including those with dementia, who have suffered a stroke, the elderly, and those with a physical disability and mental disability.

                                                                                                                                                                                        

I have genuine care to support the more vulnerable members of the community, to live as full a life as possible, I am passionate about working with my clients to make a positive impact on their wellbeing. Sometimes this requires me to assist with signposting to ensure that my client’s needs are fully met and can also provide relief for family members who are strapped for time or unfamiliar with the procedural processes of the system. 


By practicing patience, being a good listener and communicator, and being reliable and flexible I demonstrate my trustworthiness to my clients. Being considerate and adaptable to their needs means I am able to build rapport with them, provide regular reassurance, and in turn build a level of trust which allows me to encourage them to rebuild their confidence and (where possible) a level of independence for themselves. 


I believe it is important for people to engage in activities that bring them joy and keep them active/occupied.  Therefore, I always encourage my clients to take part in various activities. Some of my favourites include organising and supporting individuals with their social and physical activities, travelling, music, art, gardening, shopping  and companion care.


Education: Foundation degree in Health and Social Care.
