What inspired you to start your own business?
Minster Home Care was founded by brother and sister team, and after operating another successful business in the York area for 20 years, during 2020 they started the business. The inspiration for starting a home care company was to provide exceptional personal-care and companionship to families throughout the York area.

We are a professional independant organisation, providing bespoke home care to the people of York. We have a GOOD CQC rating and have been nominated for 2023 Employer of the Year at the York Business Awards.

Our Personal Care service focus primarily on personal hygiene, including daily tasks such as hair care and dressing. These tasks can also include;

Our most comprehensive caresupport is our live-in care service, which provides 24-hour support to you and your loved ones.
With this kind of comprehensive care, it is important that we make sure our carer is carefully chosen to support you with your specific needs. We take the time to make sure our carers are compatible with you, as our team want to be more than people that administer care – we want to be a trusted part of your daily life.
Overnight Care
This option is available if you require assistance throughout the night.
One of our care team will arrive at your home during late evening and will make you comfortable for a healthy nights sleep. If you require any support through the night, our carer will be there for you. In the morning you may prefer a sleep in, or we can prepare breakfast for you, providing a relaxed start to the day.
Household Help
One of the key benefits of receiving home care is that it allows our clients to continue living in their own homes, rather than having to move into assisted living facilities or nursing homes. This can be a great relief for many people, as they are able to maintain their independence and continue to live in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.
Our household help services include a wide range of tasks, including light cleaning, laundry, cooking and meal preparation.
