I can’t recommend Shaz from Mind the Vision enough! He covered a very important, once in a lifetime event for us and was amazing!
Patient and considerate he fitted in with our group perfectly and captured some amazing moments on video and photographs. We are not from the London area so knew nothing of what was available. Some quotes we got were ridiculous but Shaz was within our budget and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the event covered by him. The photos are beautiful and the videos are amazing! Didn’t get to fly the drone because of restrictions but extremely happy with the memories created.
Shaz is a lovely person so caring and quietly goes about his business. I can imagine him fitting into any event perfectly.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Lighting is the most important aspect of a great photograph - without light there is no photo.
The quality of the light is also just as important. If you're shooting outdoors, there are specific times of the day which really help articulate your subjects in creative ways. If indoors, the use of resources such as studio lighting equipment can give you complete control over the style of image you wish to portray.
Therefore, by controlling how the light falls on your subject, you gain full control of what you can create.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Have you seen my work? - If a client has seen my portfolio it really helps them understand my vision and what my capabilities are. It cuts out unecessary time when discussing what's possible if my client already understands my skillset.
Date, Time & Location? - It's essential we both know when and where the shoot will take place, preferably well ahead. Life is unexpected sometimes and things to change but I think respect in professional relationships is important - if something changes, keep the other party informed.
Do you know the style of shoot or have any references you wish to emulate? - It helps when a client knows what they're looking for, not because its easy but because it allows me to focus on really nailing down the concept. If there is no idea at this stage, I'm more than happy to help create a concept that we both agree on.
Have you done this style of shoot before?
How many final shots do you want delivered? - I must know how many shots you want done - it helps to confirm this before the shoot so that the post-processing process is efficient and delivery is on time.
Do you need retouching on the images?
Where will the final images be displayed? - It's especially important to know this beforehand as it greatly impacts the way the shoot is approached as well as how the images are exported once edited.
Do you need a stylist, make up artist or any other extra help? - I know many industry professional in most fields so this is an option for all my clients who may need that extra help in achieving their vision.
Do you need any video services? - I am also a freelance videographer. I have worked with brands such as the Olympics, British Asian Trust, LinkupTV plus many more. I can film video upto 4K and have been an expert video editor for the past 7 years.
Do you require drone footage (photo/video) - Drone available to include in any production - 4K Video
What are your payment terms? - This is another thing that needs to be addressed before shooting. I also prefer receiving a deposit as well as drawing out a written contract as to what the client and I have agreed to. Payment methods can be discussed at this point.
