Arranging the survey was very easy and the telephone service people were very helpful.The price was excellent value for money. The homebuyer report was much more thorough than I expected. The surveyor discovered some issues with the property and gave us a more realistic valuation. The sellers were not too happy with this but it did eventually allow us to renegotiate the asking price downwards.I was able to speak with the surveyor once we had the report to clarify a couple of technical details.Also the report will be very useful once we have moved as it details what should be done to maintain the house in good order.The report also included a rebuilding cost estimate, which we can use when buying buildings insurance.
