I have so much to work on - but the great thing is I now have the tools and support from the TI team to help me. I am hooked :-)

I've now been practising TI for a while and the change in my swimming has been enormous, much more relaxed but just as fast! With thanks to TI coaches Keith Lewis and Michael Weedon. More...

Have been taking lessons in TI swimming with Tracey at SwimSolutions for a couple of years now, and have to say she has completely transformed my approach to swimming. I can not recommend the TI method and Traceys tuition highly enough. More...

I've been having TI lessons with Nicki Gwynn-Jones over the last year and it has transformed my swimming. I have gone from struggling to swim a couple of lengths to signing up to swim the channel as part of a relay! A fantastic journey and dreams still to be realised... More...

TI has given me the confidence and the skills to embark on my "effortless freestyle" journey. I'm more killer waves than killer whale at the moment, but i've met some wonderful people who share my passion and pursuit for swimming perfection! Here's to the rest of the journey! ;))) More...

I was an average swimmer, I could swim 800m at around 23 to 25 strokes for a 25m length, I would be out of breathe, never swum in open water and I just wanted to get better as I was getting so frustrated. I started TI 3 years ago and have found a love for swimming I never had before. I now love open water swimming, a 3k swim feels nothing now and regularly swim this in training. Last year accomplished my first 10K swim and was not out of breath!!. I went on a TI Training Camp to Turkey last year as well and it was the best holiday ever, electric clear blue seas and met so many international TI swimmers and instructors. This year I plan to swim Lake Windermere (10.8miles) this year. It takes time, you have to trust your instructor who will nurture you all the way. They have so much passion, enthusiasm and will give you so much encouragement you can't help get excited by it. Swimming is a joy and as for stroke length well that it down to 16 at various tempos. It is something that you just continue to learn and continue to enjoy whether you are beginner or experienced swimmer. More...

Learning to swim in at school left me with the ability to rescue a rubber brick from the bottom of a pool whilst wearing pyjamas (a skill that even then I was convinced I’d never use) plus a belief that I had the ability to swim but that it was difficult and unenjoyable. Having discovered the TI method of teaching I realise that I was completely wrong. I couldn’t really swim but there is no need for it to be either difficult or unenjoyable. (My suspicions about the brick thing were however true). My TI coaching took me right back to basics and then built up my skill level in small manageable steps. Crucially I was able to understand the mechanics of swimming and to focus just in on individual elements of the stroke. Thus swimming has become more a mental challenge than a physical one. To swim well you don’t have to be strong, slim, tall, flexible, young, powerful or even particularly fit. More important is the ability to concentrate, understand and practice. The learning process never ends; there always areas which need to be perfected. However, I am a vastly improved and more confident swimmer from when I started and have had great fun during the learning process. Now, should I be casually strolling by the pool in my jimmies and I spot a brick in distress, I have the confidence that I’ll be in there like a shot.... More...

I found out I was doing so much wrong... And now I've got so much to remember and put into practice! But that's why I went, after all. My perfectionist tendency wanted to get it ALL correct by the end of the day, but that ain't gonna happen. So now I practice!

The instructors were friendly and not at all elitist, which was a huge relief to someone who never has, and never will, do triathlon.

I have been lucky enough to have some more lessons recently with Nicki Gwynn-Jones to improve my front crawl stroke. I have been learning the TI method over the last 6 years with Nicki.

When I started out I was a fit as a fiddle, but could really only manage 100m freestyle before becoming breathless. I think now after Nicki's excellent and patient tutoring and the super efficient TI methods now locked in my head, I think I could literally swim freestyle all day long.

Many thanks to Nicki and TI in helping me successfully complete 3 x Ironman races. Coming our of the swim feeling fresh sure helps you get to the finish line!
