Q&As

Yoga allows me to help others achieve a sense of wellbeing. Through teaching I have come across people from different backgrounds, different age, different abilities. Yoga can be adapted for all.

I started to think that there was more to life, my life, than that. I am a creative person and yet there was absolutely nothing creative in my job. So, I searched amongst my passions and stumbled on the opportunity to do a Yoga Foundation course at the British Wheel of Yoga.

Yoga helped me through the corporate years; it nurtured and sustained me in the ‘desert of creativity’. And yet, it has given me the mental and emotional strength to build something different, awesome and challenging.

As a yoga teacher I can help anyone become more resilient, stronger physically and mentally, and enjoy life a bit more.

For 1:1, I meet clients first, to discuss what they would like to achieve and what their goes are, so that I can create a yoga programme and lessons to address their goals. If a client prefers to join a group class, we discuss the most suitable class for their level of fitness, age, medical conditions and aim to progress at their own pace. At the moment all yoga sessions are online - I use Zoom to deliver the classes. If clients and class agree, I record the yoga lesson which is made available for 3 days.

Qualifying in November, I have been teaching yoga since 2018. I have a NCFE Level 2 in Nutrition & Health. I am certified to teach yoga to children and teenagers. I have insurance, enhanced DBS, safeguarding certified for children and vulnerable adults.

I am approachable, reliable, collaborative, organised, energetic and keep a positive attitude.
