Meraki Woodcraft is a craft/maker’s business who hand make dining room furniture, benches and desks for the home.
The product objective is to produce simple furniture pieces which offer an innovative point of difference based upon the bespoke sizes, leg styles, surface textures, colour options and the speed of delivery.

What do you love most about your job?
Taking a design through it's creation to a physical item that people appreciate and get excited about having in there home.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’d been in the timber flooring industry for close to 30 years, travelled internationally sourcing and working with production partners to craft high end timber floors for notable interior designers, famous people and even royalty.
A large part of my background was creating and developing surface textures, tonal options and format choices for the timber flooring market which also included heading up an international brand, a warehousing operation, and a production facility.
The Covid 19 period made many people rethink the lifestyles they were living and for me it was no different. I felt a strong desire to step back, re-think, simplify and replan the future and created Meraki Woodcraft
Why should our clients choose you?
Unlike mainstream retailers Meraki Woodcraft developed a system which enables clients to have creative input into their own pieces.
Every client can choose from a series of key features enabling them to design their own dining furniture.
The system is simple.
1. Choose a size that will work in the space (we’ll make these to custom sizes to)
2. Select from a series of legs styles.
3. Decide on a surface texture – This determines the feel of the space someone is trying to achieve. These surface textures have been developed to meet with the desired interior style, so if clients are looking for either an elegant, contemporary, rustic, or country feel, we can craft a surface texture to compliment that feel.
4. Determine the colour tone – We have dozens of colour options to choose from enabling our clients to select a tone which fits their design scheme.

Whilst we have a website (www.merakiwoodcraft.co.uk) we prefer clients to call to our workshop and discuss their furniture projects with us.
Choosing dining furniture is important decision and more often than not websites cannot project the accuracy of wood surface textures, colour tones and quality in the same way that we can in person.
We feel its also important for clients to see where their items will be made and meet the people who will be crafting them.
Handcrafted Dining Room Furniture
If you’ve never come across Meraki Woodcraft before then they’re an Artisan business who craft dining room furniture from reclaimed and sustainable European Oak at their Warrington workshop.
Unlike mainstream retailers where choice is limited, Meraki created an effective system which enables homeowners to create and design pieces that work uniquely for them and their space.
The system is simple and works on the following basis:
• Choose a table size that’ll fit your space.
• Select from 5 different leg styles.
• Decide on a wide plank or herringbone format.
• Pick a surface texture.
• Then determine a colour which fits your design
scheme.
All Meraki’s items are handcrafted specifically for you and lead times are short at 3-4 weeks. Items can be delivered and installed and arrive with free felt pads to protect your floor and a cleaning and maintenance kit.
Meraki open their workshop every weekday from 9am – 5pm and open late nights on Thursday’s between 6pm & 8.30pm, where homeowners can see examples of tables and benches on display, work that’s currently in progress, and discuss their projects.
