What inspired you to start your own business?
Having spent over 20 years in Industry the COVID lockdown of 2020 brought about working from home and the chance to start to do something for me.
I live here at Meadows Flowers and am passionate about sustainability, and as a farmers daughter I'm also a firm advocate of 'Buy British'
Having started growing beautiful flowers initially to fill the house I soon realised that I needed more skills than just 'bung them in a vase' so I embarked on floristry courses.
An initial lockdown online course sparked a new passion and having attended college I am now a trained florist and have undertaken additional residential courses in large scale installations, funeral work & wedding flowers
I love using my homegrown, scented seasonal blooms to create stunning gifts and arrangements for my clients and I especially enjoy being able to supply that last minute bouquet or gift
