Damp Proofing

So far Max has been very reassuring and helpful

22 September 2022

Max from the very start was professional, polite and extremely understanding of my concerns about the dust ect. His team turned up on time every day and would never of known they had been there when they left. All areas where throughly damp proofed and the final finish on the plastering was second to none. I highly recommend getting in touch with Max if you are after a great service and even better finish. Thanks again Max! More...

Services

Here at Max Plastering & Damp Proofing, we know that every building is different. That is why we will go out of our way to create a damp proofing solution that is bespoke to your individual property, timeframe and budget. We put the customer at the centre of everything we do, and will go above and beyond to ensure complete satisfaction – no matter how large, small or complex the job!

Plastering is a job which entails a great deal of dexterity and speed. It involves the coating of internal walls and ceilings with different types of plaster in order that they’re ready to be decorated, and the coating of external surfaces with appropriate materials, such as cement or sand. It’s not all just handiwork though – maths plays a key role in knowing how much plaster to mix up and how much needs ordering to maintain the correct levels of work on different projects.

Thin-coat acrylic and silicone flexible renders are particularly suited to large projects where maintenance is or could be an issue, more often than not thin-coat acrylic and silicone renders are applied on to external wall insulation systems and are also suited very well to refurbishment projects where substrate cracking has been an issue in the past, coupled with a base coat and full mesh acrylic and silicone renders out perform any other system as they have “self-cleaning” abilities.

Lime renders allow the building to “breathe” and are usually specified on renovation and restoration of period properties and listed buildings, coupled with traditional construction methods and specialist techniques, we can restore your building back to its original former glory.

Rendering is the process of applying a product to the exterior walls of a property, frequently to give a textured or smooth finish, which can have many advantages to brickwork but is often chosen for its aesthetics. Traditional render has been used for centuries across Europe and comprises of a sand and cement mixture.
