Terrible experience here! Will not be returning and will be telling everyone how terrible it was!In times like this, you should be valuing your customers! You have managed to create a terrible experience for 13 people! We had pre booked a table. We had been asked for our orders in advance as there was 13 of us, which we provided. When we got there, they seem surprised and not expecting us. From that point it got worse. Delays with the food, half of the table had food, half of the table were waiting for there food...25+minutes. Mistakes with how the steaks were cooked. Long delays on the salmon and duck. It was not busy, and there was no real justification as to why we was experiencing these faults. Considering we had pre-booked. The manager was rude & arrogant, could not understand what our issue was. He really gave off the impression he didn’t care, so with that attitude he doesn’t deserve any business! Strongly recommend.... to avoid going for dinner at this place. Unfortunately our experience was awful from beginning to end and to top it off. .. the attitude of the manager absolutely stinks - completely unprofessional, had no desire to correct things or try and provide a better customer experience & took no accountability (he advised he shouldn't have been on shift and they have done their jobs). Given that they asked us to pre order the week before aswell.. it was a complete unorganised mess. Everything went wrong- it was quite laughable really, you name it - they werent expecting us, they didnt know we had pre ordered, they put some of the starters out before all the guests arrived and before any cutlery or drinks were served. The other starters came later. The food orders were wrong, drink orders were forgotten about, all parts of the meal came out at different times, people had finished their mains whilst some hadnt even got theirs. The menu differs online to the menu in the restaurant... this meant that those that had pre ordered steak and chips had no chips. So after we asked for chips to accompany the steak and cabbage- they came after we had finished our steak. Then the sauces came after we finished our chips. The mayo sauce was a great side for our friends who hadn't had their dinners served at this point. The one toilet was blocked and the flush wouldnt work.. they also kindly offered hand towell in replacement of toilet roll... definately not as soft as Andrex that's for sure haha. Anyway after everything had gone wrong - we asked for some money to be knocked off from the bill. This is where the manager kicked off, knocked of 1 drink and a couple of small bits and advised that they gave us complimentary shots after the meal as compensation so they werent willing to take anything else off the bill. We didn't realise these shots were in replacement of money coming off our bill and most of us were driving or pregnant so we didnt have many. I really hope the manager that sat in the corner on his laptop watching it all happen until he refused to take much from the bill has a reality check and a big kick up the bum. He may just want to get the basics right to ensure a successful running of a cafe/restaurant for example - be nice to customers, ensure customers have cutlery to eat with and ideally all eat the same course at the same time. Whilst he is at it - he may aswell unblock the toilet and correct the numerous spelling mistakes on the menu unless they are trying to be quirky. Dessert is spelt with 2 S' and sauce is spelt with an 'a' not an 'o' ie - sauce not souce. Oh and they may want to consider having the same menu in the restaurant as they do online especially if they ask people to pre order from the online menu otherwise they could consider turning it into a fun game so guests that have pre ordered, dont actually know what theyll get on the night. Always fun. Some positives - the two waiters were doing their best and were really friendly, albeit they seemed panicked and rushing about everywhere and it was awkward for them when orders kept going wrong. Absolutely appalling meal here. I strongly advise people to avoid going to this so called restaurant as the manager is a disgrace and his service and attitude was horrendous. We had pre booked for 13 people and pre ordered our food. When we arrived no one had any idea about our booking and make shifted some tables together. A couple of starters then came out within 4 minutes of us being there ( half our party hadn’t arrived yet) no cutlery or drinks had been given either. One starter was completely forgotten about and didn’t arrive until 25mins of everyone else finishing. A few of the mains then came out without the chips and incorrect with a rare steak coming out almost burnt. Again 3 of the mains didn’t come out until another 20minutes of waiting. The waiter did his best to apologise but the service and non existence of the manager who was stood outside chatting and smoking was disgusting. When the bill finally came ( after the waiter and manager had a row about it in front of us) the manager had taken off a glass of wine for the ‘inconveniences’ we then disputed this as the service had been horrendous and everything we had ordered had come out wrong to which the manager shrugged his shoulders at us and said he shouldn’t even be on shift tonight. 4 friends celebrating a 50th birthday , decor really nice and welcoming , staff very friendly and unobtrusive but on hand when needed . .. a good choice of cocktails and wines we were offered to try a wine we didn’t know which seems unusual in some restaurants/cafes these days! Good menu with lots of differing choice, all food was delicious and seemed very fresh , the waiting staff were happy for us to have breaks between courses so wasn’t rushed. The place was very clean , the toilet facilities were clean and our only comment would be a very low mirror position means you can watch yourself pee which was a little disturbing ( lol) and nearly out ya off our dessert.... we did realise it is also a disabled toilet so we can understand why! An absolute lovely evening and would definitely recommend, was not expensive 3 courses with a cocktail each and bottle of wine to share £40 a head and that left a decent tip also ... will return ! Went for birthday dinner with my boyfriend last night... loved the atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Nice to be able to try new things like frog legs, looking forward to trying the escargons next time Food was really good and we will definitely be returning! ☺️

I’ve been wanting to visit here for some time...so this morning we came for breakfast! It certainly didn’t disappoint! The breakfast was set up beautifully, it was very tasty and staff were very friendly. The music being played set the tone for a lovely relaxed breakfast - it felt like we were in France! Lovely atmosphere and beautifully decorated however the food let’s it down. My friend and I went in for lunch today . We both ordered specialists teas and a croissant sandwich. The croissants were not very fresh and the ham was inferior quality and the salad was just on the verge of not being freshly. The tea had far too much water in the pot. We did ask for an extra bag which they were happy to do and we did get some complimentary Macaroons.
