Stayed here last night in a family room. Arrived early in Torquay and they let us leave our car in the car park even though check in wasn’t until later. Staff were really friendly and helpful - one even lent us a phone charger. The room was a decent size and the bathroom had just been re done — big walk in shower. The room bizarrely opened out onto the roof terrace which was amazing and as it was so hot we sat out there at night- I don’t think it was in use but if they could get that up and running it would be brilliant. Hotel as a whole needs updating but would stay again. The only downsides were the room being far too hot (didn’t want to leave the door to the roof terrace open incase people did use it) and it’s quite noisy, someone came in at 5am and they walked around for a while and you could hear everything. Would stay again though and will be interested to see if they do anymore to the hotel to improve it. More...

Lovely location, a quick stroll to the beach, free easy parking, lovely big hotel, well maintained. Breakfast was great, however maybe not so much toast, so it’s not wasted. Staff so friendly and helpful.Lovely upstairs outside space (could do with a bar there!! )The only let down I could find was my bin in my room was not emptied.Had a single room which was a single room, so not much space, but not complaining as it was clean and comfy.Thank you to all for making it a pleasant stay More...

We only stayed for one night.Check in was quick and easy.We stayed in romm 101 which was on the ground floor and had access through a seperate door to the car park/fore court. |The room was the basic double bed,dressing table,chair,wardrobe,t.v. and tea/coffee facilities.The bathroom consisted of a large shower and basin.|The linen and towels were nice and fresh and the room was very comfortable and clean.|We went out for the night and came back at around 12:30 where we found that we could get a drink at the bar even though the hours were 11 until 11.The guy on reception(Henry,I think),was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him.|The breakfast was great.There was a choice of cereal,fruit juice,tea or coffee and the main breakfast items were served buffet style so you just helped yourself to fried eggs,bacon,sausage,mushrooms,tomatoes,fried bread and beans.One of the guests didn't like fried eggs so asked for a poached egg which was served without out any bother.|Overall,this is a typical Torquay hotel which needs a little modernising.It is clean,the staff are great,the location is great and it is good value for money.We would stay again without doubt.
