We had been unsuccessful in our attempts to redevelop a large family owned green belt site for over 20 years. After several failed applications it was looking like we would never be able to redevelop the site. We contacted RMA because of their experience in unlocking difficult sites and their history of working closely with Local Authorities.

RMA were very attentive and along with listening to our story they did a detailed review all of the past applications and similar applications in the area. RMA summarised where we may have gone wrong in the past (thankfully not dwelling on this for too long) and came up with lots of ideas of how we could take the site forward. After discussing all the pros and cons of each option we settled on a final strategy that would unlock the site and begin the steady process of redevelopment. RMA's knowledge of the planning system and experience on how to approach the planning process was invaluable. RMA were fantastic to work with and completely transformed my initial ideas into something much better than I could have achieved on my own!

I had recently purchased a property at auction with the intention of completely refurbishing it and selling it on for profit. The original idea was to move the bathroom upstairs replacing the smallest bedroom and add a dormer roof extension to maintain the three bedrooms as others had done on the street. After coming onboard RMA ran a cost benefit analysis on my initial proposal and suggested there was a cheaper alternative option that would still achieve my aims. Rather than change the smallest bedroom into the bathroom (which would have meant I was left with an oversized bathroom) RMA proposed portioning off a section of the largest bedroom and adding the bathroom there. This would leave me with 3 good sized bedrooms and an appropriately sized bathroom all without the time and cost of adding a dormer extension. This also meant I could attract a wider variety of buyers as the property still had potential to be extended in the future.

As a result of the new approach RMA were able to deliver the project more quickly and more cost effectively than I had originally planned. We got in touch with RMA to design a garden office for us back in the summer.

We wanted something different to the “off the shelf” products you can find online and RMA provided just that. Not only was their eye for detail and craftsmanship exceptional, but their professionalism and creative desire to get us what we wanted for the space really impressed me.

We couldn't be happier with our garden office, it's such a wonderful addition to our home, providing us with great flexible space that we use all year round.

Our project was the renovation and reconfiguration of the ground floor of a period property.
I found RMA to be very personable and they had great ideas. Their use of virtual reality helped us to understand all of the rooms and how they would flow into one another. Being able to see the rooms as if they were already built gave us confidence in the project.
