I am Maddy, private carer assistant in Hampshire area. I am very
passionate about helping people and I have been a trained carer for
over 6 years. My compassionate work with elderly people, in their
own homes, made me realise that I want a career in this field and I

am studying Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3. I am very com￾mitted to my work and I make sure that I bring the care that my cli￾ents want.
My values
I believe that home is best for everyone. Being in familiar sur￾roundings and living within the comfort of your own home is the
best solution. For elderly people who struggle in some aspect of
their lives, having tailored services at home and having a friendly
face providing care is the best way of living safely and happily at
home. My entirely philosophy is to improve someone's quality of
life and enable them to live the life they want in their own homes.
My preferred visits are a minimum of one hour, so time can be giv￾en to provide quality with an ethos instead of being rushed and the
services are driven by positive outcomes rather simply by need.
Services provided
• Befriending service. A friend to talk to and empower
you to live your life again;
• Companionship service. This will assist you to keep
in touch with your friends and relatives, engage and
be part of the community/social groups and do all the
things that you want;
• Shopping;
• Escorting to appointments and social activities;
• Assistance with home which includes light house￾work: laundry, ironing, washing/ironing clothes, bed
making/changing;
• Support with maintaining your personal care - wash￾ing, bathing and toileting;
• Support with maintaining your good nutrition - light
meal preparation, assistance with eating/drinking if
required;
• Assistance with mobility and transfers, including
help getting in and out of bed.
• Medication management and reminders;
• Daily live in and sit in if required.
