Huge thanks to Mike and Rick at M and S renewables for replacing our broken solar meter reader. We are on the FIT tariff so we've been losing money while its been down. We had contacted other companies but had to wait over a week for a call out. Mike and the team however were there and ready to go. Rick came and replaced the meter in under 30 minutes and did a very professional job with no bother. Its a big relief to get it fixed in such quick time. Highly recommended. I turned to M&S Renewables last week for help with my solar battery when I had issues getting my original installer to come back. M&S were responsive and organized and arranged to come the same week. The guys were very helpful and spent several hours inspecting the battery and liaising with Giv energy on the telephone. They were able to diagnose the fault, and had the battery working again. Whilst on site, they also inspected the rest of the installation and drew my attention to various issues, including some really serious faults with the electrical work on the voltage optimizer and poor workmanship on the roof mounted panels, which have been badly fixed, and waste materials left on the roof. They advised that the original installer should urgently attend to these problems. Coincidentally the original installer turned up later that afternoon and agreed that they were issues. He promptly hurried off to the wholesaler to get some electrical parts. I later received an apology from the owner of the company about the poor workmanship, and suggested that he had some unreliable people work for him in the past. I expect he will address the concerns, but none of them should have happened in the first place, not least because of how much I paid for it.I would go straight back to M&S if I ever have another solar system installed. They did not charge me for their visit, it was highly appreciated. More...

Very much so. I’ve held back to check out if the promises made came true. They have. Our system was fitted 10/11 May 2023. The team were efficient and tidy. System up and running immediately. We’ve also had an I boost fitted to transfer unused solar to the immersion heater to heat the water rather than be exported. We also have an all electric car which is exclusively charged at home. The follow up care and troubleshooting is a text/ call away. Mike and his team are honest and do what they say. Their quote was interestingly the most competitive and the system is where we want it ( in the garage) which other companies were not prepared to do. It certainly paid off for us to choose local. I would highly recommend M&S renewables. The process was seem less from start to finish, Mike came and went through everything, including my concerns and helped answer any questions. Everything was scaffolding to the install was very efficient. The lads were very helpful in getting me set up on the app and showing me how to check the efficiencies. If there are ever any questions, Mike or the team are always happy to help with any queries or questions. Thanks Mike, really happy with the work from the guys, super impressed by the performance too, went live at 1pm, batteries come 50% charged already full by 3pm, have cooked from the batteries and worked in my workshop all night and still have 28% left at 10pm. Would have been better had the sun not disappeared at 4pm. I know this job wasn’t an easy one for you, had it’s fair few challenges with being an old house etc but you’ve overcome all of them and I’m really pleased. Couldn’t recommend you enough. More...

I would highly recommend M+S Renewables, from the moment we enquired about what solar installation could do for us, Mike has been passionate, informative and very knowledgeable about the system, and process. He takes the time to explain the figures and savings that it can do for your house, and let's face it, we all need savings in today's climate! We have had the inline panels, which look amazing! Rick the Electrician was professional, very meticulous in his work, and such a tidy job, I was amazed. The whole process from start to finish from Mike, Rick, Jay the roofer and even the scaffolders have been polite, and proffessional. We have had our battery installation from M+S Renewables for just over a year. Mike and the team have been excellent, both in making a tidy installation, integrating it into our existing solar panels, and in providing on-going support and advice on how to get the most out of it. We have recently added more batteries - the benefit of this modular system over some alternatives - and again the team was great and installing and setting these up! The system works really well and we have seen a significant benefit on our energy bills. Overall, its not just about getting the right hardware but also getting good pre-sales advice to future proof the solution and after-sales support that will optimise the benefits. Not cheapest but they provide a 20 yr warranty for my system. They were also local and could do the work straight away. Time will tell how it all works out

M&S installed solar panels on my roof feeding a hybrid inverter and battery in my garage. (Now that you don't get paid for exporting electricity to the grid, a battery is a must so that you can store daytime solar power to use yourself later. ) All the work was neatly and expertly done; the roof and garage each in under a day and carried out when they said they would. And everyone I dealt with from the salesman to the electrician and panel installer were related, so definitely a family firm which I'm very happy to recommend. More...
