I’m so disappointed to have to write this review because up until the last five minutes the salon was exemplary and I really saw myself coming back there. Unfortunately the bad service at the end of my appointment totally overshadowed the good work Nicki had done and cemented the fact that I will not be returning to Luxfords.

I came in a few days prior to my appointment to book it and asked first hand at the salon how much it would cost. They said £30-40. I booked my appointment for the following Monday.

Nicki was lovely and did an amazing job with my hair, she was very pleasant to talk to and I had total trust and confidence in her and that alone made me want to come back to the salon again... It was all done and I went to pay. She said she believed they had quoted me £60 - I said they had not, I had been told 30-40. She then disappeared and one of her colleagues came to the desk and told me again they had said £60, implying I was lying, even though my boyfriend who had come with me when I booked the appointment was also here now, so he had heard their first quote a few days before. She then changed her tune and said her junior must have relayed false information - why should I have to pay for her mistake? In the end I payed up because it was on the verge of escalating and causing a scene which is something I didn’t want to do. As I payed she then said it’s because it went over time and it was very time consuming... well extensions are very time consuming yes, but according to Nicki my hair, albeit a few strands, was in good condition and came out easily.
Also, I know how much hair extensions removals cost and I’ve been quoted £30 at different salons across the country, so where did their number come from?

I think the worst part was even after I payed, I couldn’t even thank or say goodbye to the hairdresser that did my hair. I figure she must have left out of awkwardness but I thought that was a tad unprofessional and as a client who had been quoted the “wrong” price I shouldn’t have to feel alienated because of a mistake made by the salon - and my mistake was paying the full amount! They could have made at least a small gesture to apologise for the mishap even £50 instead of 60 would have been fine - you can’t put a price on reputation. More...

Such a welcoming and friendly salon... A "one stop" salon for all your beauty needs. Can't praise Lori and all the staff enough.. Xxxx

A Lovely and friendly place where I was made to feel really welcomed. I had a fabulous haircut by Sue and the most perfect eyebrow wax and shape. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful luxury pedicure and polish plus a full set of acrylics and gel polish and an eyebrow wax. Lovely bunch of ladies and very reasonably priced. So had hair cut and full head of foils the week before and absolutely love the results. Definitely recommend paying them a visit. More...

Luxfords is a fab salon, friendly staff always welcoming with a smile. Had a colour and a wash and blow dry by 2 different stylists and both were great. I would highly recommend. Absolutely loved every minute of our experience at Luxford’s. Fantastic setting, looks amazing, the staff are just lovely and we were so pleased with our manicures and pedicures.

They were so good my friends and I are planning to get everything and anything done there! So much to choose from too!

This Salon is newly opened and will not disappoint. The decor immediately hits you as you walk in, very booho chic and unique. The owner Lori is just so lovely and accommodating and the staff the same. Extremely talented people that will look after you from start to finish and make you feel a million dollars. Super lucky to get in on the opening day with this amazing hairdresser. Her colouring technique is excellent and I am so happy with my gorgeous new ‘do’. Thank you so much Lori.
And if you are viewing the previous one star reviews scroll past as they are nonsense and the salon had not even opened it’s doors when the reviews were written. The salon only opened today and I was there for the full day. Some people have got nothing better to do!
