A few months ago I called to have a granuloma removed from my finger. On the phone I was told it was going to cost £300 so I went to Harley street to get it removed. During my consultation, the physician informed me that the procedure would cost around £1200 due to the size of the granuloma (no precise measurement was taken; she simply took a quick look and gave me a figure). I knew I was being cheated when she quickly reduced the amount when I informed her I couldn't afford to pay so much. In just a few minutes, the cost was reduced to £500. I had two choices: either pay the £300 for the 10-minute appointment and depart, or spend the £500 to have my granuloma surgically removed. I made the latter choice, which I subsequently came to regret greatly. The procedure took around 15-20 minutes. Towards the end of the procedure the anaesthetic had worn off and I was in an excruciating amount of pain. After repeatedly telling the surgeon that the pain was unbearable she eventually injected my finger with more anaesthetic. The agony resurfaced after the procedure, once the anaesthetic had worn off completely. That was a pain I had never experienced before. A few weeks later and the granuloma had grown right back. I don’t ever write reviews but I really don’t won’t anyone else to have to go through the kind of experience that I had at 96 Harley street, which is why I felt that I had to make this my first. In contrast to this, I just recently had the same procedure done at Shirley Oaks hospital in Croydon where I felt no pain during or after the removal which really makes me question the methods followed at 96 Harley Street. 96 Harley Street, houses several independent clinics. The facility itself is top-notch, providing a highly suitable environment for medical care. Their staff (96 Harley Street) are dedicated to delivering high-end care, and it's evident that they take their roles seriously. It's important to note that when leaving a review, we should keep in mind that the quality of service provided by independent clinics may vary, and if there happens to be a less-than-ideal experience at any of them, it's not a reflection on 96 Harley Street as a whole. In fact, I believe that the management at 96 Harley Street would genuinely appreciate being informed about any underperforming clinics within their premises, as it would allow them to take necessary actions to maintain their high standards. I personally found 96 Harley Street to be a hub of excellence in healthcare, and I have no doubt that they are committed to ensuring the best possible care for their patients. More...
