We opted for a loft conversion to gain some storage space but it became evident very quickly that the space created by the incredibly skilled Loft Plan team, Dan, Luke, Mark and Ron that the space would make a beautiful large double room and that's exactly what we have made it into. We need some more space and living in a bungalow we have a large loft area that was just being used as storage. We looked into several companies with the view to converting the loft into a living area. We selected Loftplan as the price was reasonable and they would project manage the whole conversion. The work was carried out to a very professional level and the standard of workmanship was high. We are very pleased with the results and are enjoying having the extra rooms. We first asked Loftplan to quote for our work a couple of years ago and decided to delay the work a little for a few reasons. We then asked them to re-quote for our conversion and have not been disappointed with the process or the end result. We undertook quite a lot of research before including detailed reviews of previous works performed and reviews that previous customers had prepared and were happy that Loftplan suited our needs.We asked around a few companies for quotes so that we could not only compare the price but also the process that each company took to get to the end result. We felt that as Loftplan use all their own men it would suit our requirements best.Work started in May 2018 and right from the beginning we have been happy with the professionalism of all the workers. They have kept us informed of what work was happening and any likely issues with the build as they arose. Our little boy couldn’t get enough of Dan and Luke and couldn’t wait for them to arrive each morning!Work took a little longer than we expected but this hasn’t been a major issue as works had all finished before baby number two arrived so we didn’t have that to worry about!Overall we would recommend Loftplan to friends and have done already. The company staff were polite and helpful and the tradesmen at the property were not only skilled in their field, but were courteous and as clean and tidy as possible !

Ours was a particularly large conversion with both side ends extended with a large dormer across the rear. This was completed with little fuss and disruption. Our finished loft looks great and and we have already spoken to potential loftplan customers and told them our happy we are with our loft conversion.

Loftplan converted my loft space into a fantastic bedroom and bathroom, that is our little haven. They were extremely helpful and professional, with both the design and build of the project. They understood our requirements and tailored the solution to suit our needs.
At every stage of the build they were good at explaining what was happening and making sure that I was happy with things as they went along.
All the people involved in the project, whether they be foreman, construction, plasterers, electricians or plumbers, were conscientious, courteous and worked in a tidy manner, creating far less disruption than I had experienced with other builders in the past.

After beauty parading a few companies we chose Loft Plan to do the work on our largish loft conversion.

The conversion took a number of months and was an exhausting journey for us. However all of this was made bearable but the quality of Loft Plans team and their commitment to keeping us informed about what was going on at each stage. Mess and dust was kept to a minimum and where problems arose (and there will always be the unforeseen) we found good working solutions. Bob and Kevin were superb as was Jim who was on site. I can’t remember the other names but they all deserve a mention.

Having strangers in your house can be daunting and a worry but I felt a high level of trust in the team who worked on our project.

A year later and we are still delighted with it. It has made a huge difference to our living space and looks amazing.

Last year we had a large loft conversion with dormer windows (two rooms and a bathroom) carried out by Loftplan. They did the whole thing from design, planning approval to construction and decoration. We are more than pleased with the job they did. They were efficient, communicative, conscientious and flexible. The various trades were all courteous and tidied up every day behind them, keeping disruption to a minimum. Dan, who did an excellent job, and the supervisors, Bob and Kevin, kept us informed of what was happening and discussed any ideas and changes with us. Money well spent.

We have no hesitation in recommending Loftplan. They have just completed a major loft conversion and dormer installation at our home and we are absolutely delighted with the way the job went and the finished room. The job went well right from the beginning under Jim’s expert supervision and this carried out with Dean and the finishing joinery.

The work was done on time and to budget and nothing was too difficult or too much trouble for David and his team who were there for us throughout. Bob and Kevin have been brilliant throughout, and Jason and Brad the tilers have done a super finish.

We engaged on a project with Loftplan to convert the remaining loft space in our house that's 250 years old. Due to this, the process involved planning, conservation area, bat surveys, (us changing specs) etc. ... needless to say - not straightforward.

We wanted an additional room, large landing space with glass surroundings and a number of built in cupboards. It was key that the finish fitted with the rest of the house, retaining key features such as beams and a pole!

Once the project was underway, the tradesmen involved were all outstanding. Different teams came in to carry out specialist elements and all were very professional and kept us updated at all times.

All resources were very personable and any questions we had, they answered and sorted any niggles along the way. They fitted in easily at our house and nice people to have around. We had a couple of things on our snag list - again all resolved very quickly.

Loftplan created a beautiful new sitting room/study at the top of our 1939 house. The project lasted 4 months and involved 1 new dormer, complete removal of all roof tiles, repair to 2 chimneys, a new staircase & new spindles on existing stairs, and a large cupboard build.

We got exactly what we asked for and are delighted with the space, including fantastic storage around all four sides. The double-turned staircase works well and fits the character of the house. Quality of workmanship is superb. We were particularly impressed by the work ethic and thoughtfulness of all the on-site Loftplan teams, from design & build guys to plumbers, electricians & plasterers.

Admin & management might have been problematic; when sub-contracted workers had to be brought in, occasionally it was. But we were always treated fairly by Loftplan, who assisted with final corrections until we were happy.

First Class Company and Workmanship

Loftplan came highly recommended by a neighbour. I can honestly say, I wouldn't hesitate to now recommend them myself.

From the very first meeting, I was impressed with their knowledge, advice and professionalism. Initially, I did't really know what was possible to achieve, but I now have a loft space bigger and better than I ever would have imagined.

Every member of the Loftplan Team was courteous, tidy and respectful. I was kept informed and consulted throughout every stage of the build.

The workmanship was superb and everything was carried out to the highest standard.

The aftercare has been exceptional. I had a small issue in the bathroom over a year after completion. I contacted Loftplan and the issue was rectified immediately, They sent out a Team without hesitation and the problem was solved all as part of their exceptional service. That for me, speaks volumes. No questioning, no hesitation, no fobbing off. Just a genuine desire to keep the customer happy and sort things out.

Loftplan have made our house into a home. We are truly over the moon with the ‘play/cinema room’ they have helped create in our new loft. We found both the office and the builders to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional and put us at ease with any concerns.
Both Ben and Mark, the builders did a stunning job. They were neat and tidy, had a great work ethic and were only satisfied when we were happy. The finished product was delivered to a high standard and we as a family are loving spending time up there!

We have been delighted with the loft conversion and the amazing additional space that it has given us.
Every one was very helpful from the start of the project right through to the end, and including the little snagging bits that needed finishing off.
The loft conversion was a major bit of work and I was quite concerned about having half a roof removed, but James and his team were brilliant and put up all the framework for the new Dormer before our roof tiles were removed.
The new flat roof and all the Dormer walls were built with amazing speed, I was very relieved and pleased.
I can honestly say it was a pleasure to have the workmen in and on the house,they were so polite and helpful…
I think it helped that I was around the house most of the time to answer any queries, and then there wasn’t any hold ups.
Obviously there was some noise and dust flying about, particularly because we decided to have our original staircase completely removed and a new one installed to match the one going up to the new 2nd floor. Both of these were built and installed by Loftplan.

Loftplan recently converted my loft space into 2 double bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. I am very impressed with the results because I have a stunning space that blends in with the original house, is soundly built and did not cost the earth. My overall conclusion is that Loftplan offer quality and excellent value for money. The project supervisors Bob and Kevin were always friendly and approachable and their extensive experience meant they could often come up with creative solutions to any problems that arose. I realised that being a large company they needed to manage resources across many projects at the same time which was no easy task, so especial thanks must go to them.

My experience can be summed up as follows:

1. Finding a builder you can trust with your hard earned cash is difficult. Loftplan are large enough company that have been around a long enough which gave me confidence that my money was in safe hands. I also visited a previous customer who did not hesitate in recommending them.
2. I was worried about potential damage to the existing house which I feared was too weak to take the additional strain and vibration of the loft work. I was told not to worry because they would take every precaution to protect the existing house. I was very impressed to find that not a single crack has appeared in a ceiling. The workers were extremely careful and worked quickly to get the roof fully watertight within days of starting work.
3. Staircase design is key to a successful loft conversion. The staircase Loftplan designed for my house looks as if it was meant to be there since the house was first built. It is of exceptional quality and beauty and actually makes the landing area feel lighter and more spacious than before. Quite an incredible achievement. The time and effort taken to ensure the mouldings matched the existing house is another example of how Loftplan often over delivered. I had researched several loft companies and Loftplan were the only company who manufacture their staircases in-house. I could not be happier with the results.
4. Having builders in your private space week after week inevitably takes its toll and nerves can be fraught at times. I work from home so that was a particular challenge. There were occasional differences of opinion but Loftplan were patient with me and always tried to deliver what I asked for. I was very particular about the specification because I wanted the new loft to blend in with the original Edwardian house. Loftplan exceeded my expectations and I can’t believe how many people stop, look up and remark what a fantastic roof they have built for me.
5. Loftplan have clearly refined a formula for delivering high quality loft conversions at affordable prices. They delivered on their promises and the results are first class in every way.

We are so impressed with our finished project. Right from the start we were given valuable advice, some of which we would never of even have thought of. Unfortunately we did not have Permitted Development so therefore had to go through a planning application. Once again, David was very helpful with the issues that were encountered and resolved them swiftly.

We would especially like to thank James and Mike who carried out the initial work. They amazed us on what they did and were always polite and courteous,thoughtful and tidy . All the other tradesmen were also of a high standard including the plumbers,electricians,roof tilers, plasterers and stair fitters. Dean, the 2nd fix carpenter, spent time fitting the banisters and spindles to our new and existing stairs, just how we wanted it. He was especially helpful when it came to us changing our minds about the way a door opened and happily altered it to suit us.

Kevin and Bob were the supervisors and helpful throughout and the office staff too.

We are thoroughly enjoying our new room. Many of our neighbours have passed comment on the design and how it is very much in keeping with our house.

Loftplan was by far the most professional company to quote on our loft conversion. Alan surveyed the property and had some very good ideas that we hadn't considered, and these directly influenced the final design. Loftplan were the only company to provide a draft plan with their quote and we found that very reassuring - after all it's a big investment!

The resulting loft and en-suite is even better than we had envisaged and we are confident the value it has added to the property outweighs what we spent. Workmanship throughout is superb and the loft looks fabulous inside and out. As with any loft conversion project we were concerned about the staircase and whether the profile of the loft would fit the character of the property. We needn't have worried as the stair configuration is perfect and the slate-clad extension looks great.

We were especially impressed with how friendly and accommodating everyone was throughout the process. We are a mid terrace and contractors had to pass through my neighbour's garden. They were very respectful of her property and were happy to answer any questions from neighbours. There were very few snags and these were resolved quickly and with good grace.

Loftplan have delivered a loft conversion that is better than we could ever have imagined, and the process was significantly less difficult than we had anticipated.

The First Fix team were truly a credit to the company, they were hard working, courteous and fun to have at the house. They caused virtually no disruption to our everyday lives, and even when they were knocking down walls, they cleaned up after themselves to a very high standard. Within a week we trusted them enough to go on holiday and leave them to it. The second fix team also provided a first class service. The quality of the finish, particularly the carpentry, has been commented upon by more than one of the external trades people that we have had in subsequently. Post completion, all of our requests have been dealt with promptly and without a quibble.

Loftplan's ongoing advice and guidance has been instrumental in helping us achieve such a pleasing end result. Their patience with our (sometimes slow!) decision making was also greatly appreciated – we never felt pressured or rushed which certainly helped us to make the right choices throughout.

We are absolutely thrilled with the space that has been created. Our teenage daughter is over the moon with her new bedroom and en suite, and we are all looking forward to using the fitness room. The additional staircase and newly created spacious landing fit seamlessly with the rest of the house and do not look like an add-on, something that was very important to us.

Our loft build officially finished yesterday and my husband and I really could not be happier nor more grateful to Loftplan. We would highly recommend this company above all others and would simply say, go no where else, the service and end product exceeded all our expectations and more, ten fold. Such nice nice people, every single person whom we came into contact with. From the very beginning, from the initial meeting to the last cheerio with Kevin yesterday, we felt we were in safe hands and really, for us, the client we never stressed about the build and were always assured that any queries/questions would be dealt with swiftly and easily. James and Michael were the main guys at the beginning for the first 6 weeks and you couldn't ask for more hard working or polite and cheerful men, thank you guys. The initial build was finished so quickly, in 6 weeks, in searing hot weather, and then all the inside work, always explained and done absolutely beautifully. Now we have 2 stunning bedrooms and a bathroom and our teenager children are very happy and feel already very relaxed in their new bedrooms, even though it has been only 1 whole day so far! My husband works in commercial building works in London and I have owned property before so we know how things work - and this company is truly the best in terms of getting things built, fast, attention to detail and quality and nothing is too much trouble. What a splendid job.
a fantastic space created by a very professional company.
After doing a lot of research, and having 3 quotes from different companies, Loftplan came out top on everything.
We couldn't recommend Loftplan enough. They were fantastic from the initial consultation through to the finishing touches.
Loftplan drew up a rough idea on what the space would look like; it was fantastic being able to visualise the room in an instant, and the designer was very realistic in his approach.
The first fix really couldn't do anymore for you, assisting us in making decisions and explaining their every move. Their attention to detail was second to none, as was their knowledge.
The end result was a beautiful master bedroom with an ensuite, and amazing views over the roof tops. It has transformed our home.
