With 10 years experience in the field and after working for small and large architectural practices, a recent redundancy has enabled me to develop my existing small design business into my full time business.
The autonomy of being a business principal means my focus is now fully on individual client needs opposed to the conflicts of balancing client relationships with revenue raising activities.

I love architecture and innovative design. I also love clear communication. From my first interaction with a client I promise I will listen to them. I believe it is imperative to understand what a client wants to achieve and to work with them using my architectural and design skills to help them get there.
I also know that engaging a professional to help with your building design and planning, especially for the first time, can be challenging. I look to create trust and shared understanding with my clients. My aim is always to help them realise their ambitions and to guide them to that point, focussing on the realities of permitted development, their budget and time.

Providing a complete service usually requires attendance at the development site. This ensures the existing site is captured in its original state and helps identify if there are any restrictions that may affect my client's ambitions. Flexibility allows me to attend a site at the convenience of the client and I am always mindful of social distancing at these times. Many services can be provided remotely; video conferencing using Skype, MS Teams or Zoom can often help explain options of proposed plans and discuss any alterations or additions, without the need for a site visit.

Adhering to local government guidelines, I ensure I wear a mask and carry and provide hand sanitiser when attending surveys/appointments, always maintaining social distancing. I have received my first vaccination and am awaiting call up for my second.
