I had been suffering with what I thought to be health anxiety for quite some time, constant worry of getting sick, the physical symptoms of anxiety would make me worry more and it then turned in to a vicious cycle. Karen really opened my eyes in our first session. I had just accepted my anxiety in all the other aspects of my life and considered it normal. Karen made me realise that there was so much of my life that I was missing out on because of my anxiety holding me back! I realised at this point that I didn’t want to be that person any more. Karen’s friendly, happy demeanour immediately relaxed me and I felt like I was talking to an old friend. She is the perfect combination of firm and honest, yet gentle and understanding. I never at any point felt ashamed of my feelings, or silly for having them.
