Absolutely fab food and service! Visited twice so far ... Lunch date with a friend & dinner with the Husband. Relaxed atmosphere & service with a smile every time :) Definitely recommend the Calves Liver & the 'L'hote Roulade of Chicken' it looking for to trying the rest of the menu!

The rooms are clean and spacious. Though it takes around 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the city centre, if you wish to stay in a quiet and relaxing hotel after a busy schedule during the day, it is definitely a good choice. The food is delicious and it opens till 9pm which fits well to those who do not take dinner as early as those local. More...

Had a one-night stay here on a recent cyclng trip through Kent. What a wonderful find right across the road from the Kent cricket ground about a mile out of the city. The hotel has been recently refurbished to a high standard - I had a lovely room on the top floor. Owners were great to talk with and they have done a super job here. Stunning Hotel, bar and grille. This pub conversion has been beautifully decorated and has the wow factor soon as you walk in, your hosts, Ken and Karen take care of your every need from check-in to check-out, great food is available downstairs and would highly recommend the Sunday roast. This small intimate hotel is just perfect for anyone looking for a romantic getaway in the magical city of Canterbury. Very well priced for such a high class establishment. L'hote is about 2 minutes drive along the Old Dover Road just beyond the old walls of the City. The hotel was completely renovated and refurbished to a very high standard, only completed about 9 months ago. The owners are very experienced hoteliers and this shows in the presentation of the hotel and also gave a very helpful and personal service throughout our stay. I can't find a reason to say anything negative. We stay for one night taking in a T20 Kent game. Arrived to a very friendly greeting and an shown to our room. Room was very clean and well presented. Very modern style, comfy bed and tea making. Pop down to the bar area for a few drinks and snack before the game (loved the chips). Next morning we both had the full english and was perfectly made. I stayed with a friend in this newly renovated hotel for 2 nights and can recommend it highly. The owners were very friendly and the interior is tasteful and spotless. Our rooms were really beautiful with everything as described and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - we tried a few options and we ate in the restaurant on Friday night and the meal was high quality and well presented. The location is very convenient being only about 10 min walk from the City and parking is available close by although not on the site. The location was on a busier road than I anticipated but it did not disturb our sleep. I would recommend it with pleasure. More...

What a superb get-away! The pair of us were put into the Millers [bedroom at the top] on Saturday. Excellent friendly welcome from the lady of the house. She pointed out the right necessities and left us to it which is great. We walked through the dining room which was spotless. Straight up into the room- super clean, right amount of room for two people. Bed setup perfect, plenty pillows , cushions . Spotless bathroom with power shower. Molton brown toiletries in the bathroom were delicious & a really nice touch. Netflix as an option on the tv remote made my day. We used our own account. Breakfast is available but we didn’t opt for this which was fine. Good setup in the bedroom with cofee / tea etc. We were lucky with parking as a spot was free down the side road. Overall excellent experience. The gentleman in the morning who said bye was very friendly & has good customer service. I would definitely return.
