What do you love most about your job?
We love helping our Clients by making their homes and workplaces safer.
We also love giving them an independent view meaning they do not pay to remove asbestos un-necessarily, or install fire detection and fighting equipment that they do not need!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working for myself for nearly 30 years, I really enjoy meeting customers face to face and solving their problems!
Why should our clients choose you?
Laskey and Leighton are an independent Fire Risk and Asbestos Management Company.
We do NOT:
Remove Asbestos
Sell Fire Detection Equipment (Alarms, Smoke Detectors etc)
Sell Fire Fighting Equipment (Extinguishers, Fire Blankets etc)
This means we are on the side of the Customer to give them the safest option without any bias.
Residential Asbestos Surveys
Before, or after you have purchased a property, or if you are planning works, we can provide you with a Survey of all safely accessible areas of your property and provide a non-intrusive assessment of any Asbestos Containing Materials.
Commercial Asbestos Surveys (Asbestos Management Survey)
If your property was built prior to 2000, you have, since 2004 been required to have an Asbestos Management Survey.
A Commercial Property includes Offices, Shops, Warehouses, Factories, Restaurants/Cafe's, Churches, Meeting Places and others.
We can offer out of hours working if necessary and can explain your obligations to you in simple terms.
Asbestos Sampling Service
It may be that, as opposed to a full Survey, you want some specific items sampled.
For example, you may have had a building survey report that states that the bedroom ceiling has textured coating that may contain Asbestos.
We can attend the property and sample that specific item to confirm or deny whether or not it contains Asbestos.
Asbestos Management Plans and Re-inspections
You may have an Asbestos Management Survey that was previously undertaken which identified Asbestos Containing Materials were present.
If you do not remove the material, it is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 that these items form part of an Asbestos Management Plan, with regular re-inspections.
