Mandip was the lead architect on our major house renovation project during July - December 2017. The project involved building an extension, as well as totally refurbishing and re-designing the ground floor and most of the first floor.
We were impressed with Mandip throughout the project. He took a lot of time to work with us to get things right, and he has a great eye for detail. Perhaps inevitably, a number of unexpected issues arose during the project (more steel needed etc, some delays) - Mandip was always happy to spend time and work constructively and flexibly with us to find good and cost-effective solutions.
It is worth adding that we also thought Mandip's fees were very reasonable and transparent - he was good value for money!
Overall, we truly felt that Mandip was interested in us, and put our interests first - we would use him again if we ever do anything similar in future.

Q&As

• Look for other conversions on your street
• Measure the head height - hint, if it's 2.2m or more, your loft should be tall enough to convert.
• Check what type of roof you have

Many loft conversions are covered by permitted development rights and won't need planning permission.
However, if you live on designated land or have a certain style of property that's tricky to convert, you may not be covered by permitted development. Refer to the Planning Portal link below for more information or you can also contact us to discuss further
