Ken Grant property maintenance

Quoted me for a job told me all the materials I needed to buy and then never turned up on 2 occasions this is now 3rd time he has let me down and when I contacted him about this he replied with maybe you should get someone else to do the job all the best, so I did get someone else. Would not recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! An absolute disgrace. Kenny started painting my bedroom just under 4 weeks ago and it is still not finished. On the first day his work looked great and he did a lot of filling and sanding which I’d expect from a professional painter. I was feeling really optimistic. It all went downhill from there. He left my room in a complete state with paint running down the walls, all over the skirting and onto the floor, he also left paint all outside the front of my house and all over black Matte taps and door handles and hinges (still no idea how I’m going to get all the off). He also tried to fit some sockets and basically wrecked the walls around them and put them all upside down, squint and sticking out. When he power washed out the front he left water and mess everywhere and my partner had to clean it up. He broke one of my black Matte sockets. A qualified electrician had to come and fix his mess with the electrics. He came back one day and accepted he shouldn’t have left my house in the state it was in but started shouting at me and my partner regardless and even stormed out. He blamed me for buying the wrong paint when I cleared that with him in advance and he said it was fine, that is in no way my fault. I’ve now been waiting a fortnight for him to come back and his communication has been terrible with me, always me needing to contact him to ask him when he would be coming and what time. One day he didn’t show at all and his van has been broken twice with no proactivity to let me know. I stupidly gave him £625 and now me and my partner need to finish the job and fix his mess. I asked him for some money back as after he has cancelled on us yet again we will need to buy paint, clean up mess, fix walls and sand and paint everything including a radiator he left in a streaky mess and he offered me £50 saying all of that would take him less than an hour. Work carried out well ,pleased with finish .I was looking for someone quite quickly and they stepped up for me did the job well.
