From the outset with a prompt reply and no issues with intolerances like fodmaps I felt confident Chef Akudo wasn’t just saying it but actually understood and soon proposed menu choices which were quickly tweaked and then agreed upon. On the evening which was my wife’s birthday Chef Akudo arrived promptly and proceeded to unpack his items ready for service. Was a pleasure to see somebody really focused and wow tge food! I have never experienced a private chef and decided to try it due to the fact I recently had surgery on my ankle and could not move so much. Chef Akudo was amazing, he arrived in plenty of time, super organised and friendly. As for the food… I have never tasted such an amazing food! He explained each dish and mocktail, and we learnt so much too! Everything was done in perfect time, and he left the kitchen spotless! He also left an extra dessert for my sister which was so kind!

Amazing from start to finish- Akudo was able to give suggestions on possible Menus and what works well together. His communication all the way through was spot on. Not only was he really engaging but also made us feel at ease with having someone in charge of our kitchen !

Chef Akudo provided an exceptional private dining service for a 70th birthday celebration. The food was outstanding- full of flavour, filling and a nice homage to traditional Nigerian flavours. I had been concerned that portion sizes would be an issue but this was completely unjustified as all in attendance were more than satisfied. His passion and dedication to his craft really shone when he talked us through the inspiration behind his dishes. Not only was it an fabulous dining experience but also a nice insight into history of Nigerian cuisine.

He was professional from my initial enquiries right through to completion of his services and was exceptionally tidy.

Chef Akudo was booked for our event at home. Booking was straight forward and communication was superb on the run up to our event.

Akudo arrived in good time and easily adapted to use our kitchen.

We had a 6 course taster menu which was presented and served perfectly. All 10 of us were blown away with the flavours, textures and presentation of every dish we were served with. During the meal, the entire conversation was about how good the food was.

So we’re do we start… what a lovely friendly guy, we asked Akudo if he could cook for us as we had rented a house in Buxton for my partners 60th B/D and her family. His communication was excellent he arrived on time and prepared all the food here. He was clean and tidy. We had agreed a menu with him weeks before. The detail and presentation was superb, he did canapés, starter, main a sweet and a cheese board it was fantastic and great value… we can highly recommend him and will most certainly be asking him to cook for us again. I had a brilliant experience, I contacted Chef Akudo on short notice and luckily he was available. He gave me a call and talked me through the service and sent over a copy of the menu. The menu was already pretty great and only required 1 minor amendment. Upon arrival, Chef Akudo was extremely professional and set up very quickly so we could begin the evening. We had the idea to hire a private chef for our friends 50th birthday. From the moment we chose Chef Akudo he made everything so easy, we chose the menu, then had a few changes but Chef Akudo was more than happy to make the menu right for us. He arrived with all the crockery and cutlery and set to work! The meal was amazing and we couldn’t get over how quiet he was while he was cooking, we were in a large kitchen diner and we never heard him cooking! From the initial phone call from Akudo we knew he was the right guy for the job, he asked so many questions regarding what we liked and what we were thinking and then sent over choices that were beyond what we expected.
He arrived with everything he needed and got straight on with the job, he informed us of every detail of the food he was serving and every mouthful was fantastic. Great to sit down with him after dinner as well and find out all about him.

I highly recommend Kedu for private dinner events mainly because of his strong customer service skills. He listened from the beginning of our conversation till the end and noted all details I provided to him as regards my requests . He kindly offered a selection of menu which we went along with eventually, his creative ability when putting dishes together did the trick for me and I knew instantly that I was definitely coming back for this service. . All through the event, Akudo and his team ensured my guests and I were well taken care of. Overall , he was fantastic with delivering an exceptional service all through my event and definitely wowed my guests and I with those delicious dishes.

I had a great experience working with chef Akudo. He always responded promptly and was easy to communicate with. Our menu was created specifically for us and he was happy to make changes as requested and was very accommodating to our specific needs.
On the night itself, despite a few issues with transport, he managed to get us all fed more or less on time and all the food was delicious. We opted for an African inspired menu which he really did justice. He went to great efforts explaining what everything was and the origins of each dish as well as a little about his own food philosophy which was really informative. Everything was well spiced and seasoned with more than hearty portions. I think everyone's personal favourite was desert of choc and nut brownie and mascarpone cream which I will hopefully be stealing the recipe for.
All in all, it was a really successful night and we will more than likely be enjoying chef Akudo's services again. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an unfussy, yet unique and special event. More...
