Karen has the most gentle, kind, patient personality but also has a wonderful sense of humour which is much needed when things get tough.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the satisfaction I feel when I help someone to live a more full filing life. Even just to make someone's day a little bit easier. To make someone feel like life is worth living. To make someone smile.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am following my passion towards more learning opportunities, creative freedom and personal satisfaction. It has long been a passion of mine providing care and support for others. Starting out business will grant me the opportunity to grant my clients the care they truly deserve within a understanding environment.

From working in the care sector, I have found that I am compassionate and go the extra mile to provide the best care for clients. I provide support in a way that is respectful. I have the ability to priorities workload and carry out work efficiently and effectively.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have both my covid vaccines. Wearing PPE and washing hands regularly.
Care needs
I support individuals with complex needs such as motor neuron disease, Alzheimer, Dementia, spinal injuries, neurological disorder, mental health and I also support individuals with general care needs. I worked alongside neurologists, therapists, consultants, district nurses and palliative care services as part of a multidisciplinary team. I also possess the training and experience required in using supporting equipment effectively, such NIV breathing machine, peg feed, catheter, cough assist, testing blood sugar levels, driving electric wheelchair and checking vitals signs. Administering of medications.
Personal care, moving and handling, cooking and cleaning.
I have experience in writing care plans and advance plans, while also doing risk assessment .
