What’s your interior design process?
Every project is different but design always starts with the brief and listening to the clients' requirements: after that it is a process and a collaboration between designer and client.
We always do our best to go away, consider these requirements, and then start the design process by thinking as creatively as possible.
The concept stage in design is a vital one and involves much research, as well as this creative thinking, but once we have the main concept we will return to show these initial ideas with sketches and visuals.
If the concept is approved we will go away and refine the ideas and then return with full design ideas.
Again, changes can always be made and dependent on the clients' requirements the design process will continue and we will continue to be involved, should it be supplying and sourcing materials and furniture down to the the last detail or negotiating with builders and project managing work on site until work on site is completed.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Any styles can be catered for. We design for the client not for ourselves.
If we have a style it is contemporary, clean and unfussy - although we also like vintage and like to mix styles together to create something totally unique.
What do you love most about your job?
Everything. I love the creative process, I love getting the brief and not knowing where the creative process will take me.
I love coming up with new and original ideas.
Of course though, the thing I love most is making my client happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I thought it would offer me the freedom to offer a level of service not seen in other design studios in this area.
