July Design were fantastic at guiding me through the development of my yoga website and brand identity. Dave was really helpful and asked all the right questions - the end result was exactly what I needed! I really enjoyed the process and would recommend them to any small business looking to create a modern and straightforward website. More...

Q&As

As every business has a unique set of circumstances and audiences, a great website is one that is functional to the needs and growth of your business.

I'd be looking to understand about your business, and then how the design project fits into the wider scope of your business or overall strategy/idea. This will help ensure the design works in harmony with your current/future plans. I'd also be interested to really understand your current or target audience to ensure the design is pitched to be as successful as possible.

Each project is unique and may have a slightly different way of working through a creative process, however all projects will pass through all of the following at least once:

a) understand your brief and your business
b) general or competitor research
c) idea generation
d) pitch ideas/outcome
e) tweak and finalise

Ultimately, I'll need a brief to start physically designing something, but this is something we can work out together if you're not sure. 'Work' kind of starts the moment you drop me a message, so all we'll need to get going is a conversation about an idea you're having...we can shape the parameters of the project as we go.

Seeing that moment where small/local businesses realise they can look as good as big industry players.

I noticed many small/local businesses starting and the logos/websites looking dated or quickly made. Unfortunately, the nature of the design industry seems to be in favour of those with large budgets, which many small/local business do not have...especially to splash out on design work. I like the idea of levelling the playing field by offering professional design solutions that are affordable.

• super friendly & easy to talk to
• happy to help or advise (sometimes advice or perspective is all you need to move forward)
• affordable
• experienced
• open and honest

Yes no problem. In fact, most projects will be coordinated via email. I'm happy to meet for a coffee and discuss in person if you'd prefer, but even then, final design files will be sent digitally (for most projects).

As most projects will be managed digitally, there is zero risk of transmission. Any printed material (from a 3rd party printer) will be subject to their policies. For any discussions we do in person, we can be as protected as you'd like (masks, distancing, disinfectant, etc).
