Beside his punctuality and professionalism, my wife and I both firmly believe that we made a fantastic decision to request John's service for our wedding during the evening reception. Would totally recommend 'Magic John' if you have a party coming up. I booked John for my daughters 5th birthday party; he managed to capture and hold the attention of over 30 small children for 2 hours. His act is fabulous!! The first half incorporated music and party games with prizes supplied. After lunch, John put on a fabulous magic show and even convinced my daughter that it was snowing near the end! This is the second time I have booked Magic John for a children's party. He managed to contain and hold the attention of some 70 five years olds ( and younger) and lots of adults too with his magic tricks and party games. He had loads of new aspects to his show and continues to present new and amazing shows. I would highly recommend him. He arrived an hour before the party to set up and stayed for an extra 40 minutes modelling balloons for an extra 20 children whom we hadn't anticipated attending! I would highly recommend. He was so friendly and, he Took care of all the kids. From start to finish. He organised all the games and prizes then a magic show. He was funny and put some adult humour in as we'll. We expected around 30 kids to be there and over 40 turned up and he still kept them (and us ) very entertained. John was booked for my sons 5th Birthday party. From the moment we arrived to set up the hall, John included and involved my little boy whilst he was setting up his act. I found this to be very welcoming and made my little boy relaxed. Johns act comprised of numerous magic tricks, some very different to the typical tricks that are presumed - he even made it ''snow'' over the childrens heads to music.....which was very captivating. Puppets were also included in the show and every child recieved a dog balloon model aswell to take home. Many children were brought up to the front of the show with John to join in individual magic tricks and he also included parents from his audience aswell, which made this fun for the children to.He did magic, sang and danced with the kids and they throughly enjoyed themselves.Overall, I have to say that John has a brilliant rapport with the kids. We saw John over a year ago at a 4th birthday party and knew that he would do a great job for us and he didn't let us down. From the outset arranging the booking was easy. John is well organised and professional. His show for our son's 5th birthday along with his 30 friends was superb. He kept the kids entertained for over an hour with magic tricks and balloon modelling involving all the audience including the adults. The birthday boy was made to feel so special and he is still talking about the show now and he said it was his best birthday ever. I had a small Christmas party for friends at my home, and thought it was a good idea just to book some entertainment. I found John's website using this directory and I called him, finding him to be very friendly and approachable, knowing exactly what kind of entertainment I was looking for. On the night of the party John arrived and did the most amazing close-up card tricks and predictions that captivated all of my guests and livened up the night considerably. He even adapted his routine to accomodate for some children that were there, incorporating some balloon making into his performance as the night went on. He also did some hypnotism on some of my guests.All in all he was truly entertaining, well worth the fee and more. He is obvously a very talented and capable magician who has kept my guests talking about him a whole week after the event. I booked Magic John to do a magic show to a group of special needs students who were attending 'Summer School' during the school holidays. I had spoken to John prior to the show, so he knew the age group he was entertaining. With this in mind he arrived very early at the venue to set up his equipment ready for a 1 o'clock start, John had time to talk to me about the students, to find out what level he should pitch his magic show at. John did some balloon modelling with the students, showing them how to make their own sword. john then went on to make each child a balloon model. I booked Magic John for a group of Special needs students who were attending 'Summer School' during the 1st 2 weeks of the summer holidays. The children were spellbound, he did some magic tricks getting help from the children, each child got a gift for helping. John then went on to show the children some balloon modelling and created each child an individual model to take home with them. I have to say the staff enjoyed the show too and if a couple of jokes were wasted on the children, the staff got them and laughed out loud!!!
