Came across Joe through a friend and so glad I did, I’m 53, had a knee injury for some time and lost my way a little, I was feeling sluggish, overweight and really couldn’t get myself motivated, Joe has not only helped me loose around 1. 5 stone but got me back on track with my fitness, there is no pressure just support, he has made me understand my body and food like I have never done before. I cannot recommend Joe's 60 day weight loss challenge or his PT programmes enough. It is no exaggeration to say it's completely changed my view about eating and exercising. Joe has made me realise what joy there is in movement - he is non judgemental and totally understands how previous experiences, busy lives and other commitments can all affect things. And yet he offers a way to navigate this and helps you through even when you might not feel motivated. For anyone sitting on the fence about whether to sign up or not (as I did for a while!) my advice would be don't hesitate, the sooner you start the quicker you can start enjoying the benefits of working with Joe. I have trained with a lot of PTs over the years and Joe is easily number 1. Literally the best decision I've made was to turn up to that consultation, despite all my anxiety around gym spaces. Right from the start he was supportive, reassuring, and just so enthusiastic about my goals. I looked forward to every session, felt able to relax and have a laugh throughout, and ALWAYS felt motivated no matter how hard it got. I cannot recommend the 60 day challenge enough, the whole process from start to finish had been incredible. The support from Joe really helped to me to understand my relationship with food and how to improve it. I have tried diets before where I was alway hungry and felt what I could eat was restricted but this was not like that. The peer support when I was having a bad day really helped and I got some great ideas of new recipes to try. Everything I learnt from the challenge is something i know I can maintain long term. I highly recommend Joe to anyone looking to improve their body and reach their fitness goals. I started working with Joe, as I was really struggling to lose weight. All the tricks I used when I was younger didn’t work. I felt really defeated and was consistently putting on weight with my HRT treatment and felt bloated and uncomfortable . But Joe has saved the day! I couldn’t believe the results and actually started feeling more myself. His plan is accessible and manageable. And can merge into everyone’s diet, so you are not having to make separate meals. Joe has not only helped me to lose 10kg in just 8 weeks, but he’s also helped me to lose the negative, unhealthy and unproductive mindset that I used to have. ‘I’ll start the diet/gym on Monday’ is a thing of the past - instead I’m taking small, but constant, steps each and everyday to reach my goals and be the best that I can both physically and mentally. This program has been life changing for me. I have spent most of my life overweight, / on a diet and battling my overeating. Joe has given me the tools to understand nutrition like I have never had before and now I feel so empowered to keep losing weight. I have seen the weight fall off, where previously getting to this level of weight loss would have been a huge effort, it doesn't seem so hard now. I have taken part in Joe’s 60 day weight loss challenge, which has 2 days left to run! I am delighted to say I have lost 10 pounds+. Initially, I was apprehensive as I thought I would be constantly hungry and find it very difficult to follow the programme, as I have a very busy work and social life. I can honestly say, that during the programme, with good choices, I haven’t been hungry at all. The programme has educated me to understand which foods I can eat more of, and which to have as a treat. I haven’t completely stopped eating anything. One of the most important elements of the programme was the support Joe gave me when things weren’t going well. It was easy after weeks I had lost weight, but when I was struggling, Joe was there with words of encouragement and honesty to get me back on track without beating myself up for managing to continue to enjoy life whilst losing weight. I started Joe’s 60 day challenge back in October 2020 weighing 91kg. I had tried every diet known to man and they were just not happening for me. My sister took on the challenge in September 2020 so I thought I would give it a go and I was not disappointed. Joe taught me about macros which are the right balance of carbs, fats and proteins for my body and a regular exercise programme and wow, game changer-I haven’t looked back since. To date, and with a lot of hard work and willingness, I have lost 23.5kg. Following a healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise I have been able to corporate the principles he has taught me into my normal family life. I took part in Joe's 60 day challenge in September 2020 and I can honestly say it's changed my life. The plan was well thought out with realistic and attainable goals. Joe was extremely supportive throughout there was never judgement. I've continued to train with Joe since and have completed 3 half marathons under his guidance achieving a 2 PB's which I put down to his excellent tailored plan. He has now put together a strength plan for me which I am following and I love the sessions. Joe is always asking for feedback and updates my plans accordingly. Encouraging someone to commit to their training is one thing, genuinely inspiring someone to want to be there - Joe has this in spades. From someone who was exercise shy, and not in a good place when I met Joe, and having never stepped into a gym before - I was apprehensive and anxious. Fast forward a little while, I now go to the gym a couple of times a week and always look forward to seeing Joe! Joe will immediately put you at ease. He’s fully present for you, and I have found he has supported me not only in fitness but my general and overall wellness: physically, mentally and emotionally. He listens to what you want and where you want to get to. He will get you there. Trust me! I’m training for my first triathlon within a year of working with him. One of the greatest things about Joe is that it never, ever seems like it’s about the destination- you just enjoy the journey so much. I'd never been to a personal trainer before. I wasn't too sure what it would be like. It felt like an expensive decision. Boy am I glad that I chose to start sessions with Joe . I initially contacted Joe about strength and conditioning to support running, however since I started PT sessions with Joe in July I haven't actually done much running! Not Joe's fault (!), it's been down to injuries that had been brewing due to my previous lack of strength and conditioning and a good 12 months or so of not looking after myself (thanks pandemic). I know the work with Joe is and will support my running once I can properly get going again, but actually the sessions have been about way more than that. I was feeling pretty down on what my body could do when I messaged Joe and that was having an impact on my mental health too. Over the last six months or so, working with Joe I have felt so much better about myself. I feel strong again and happy with what my body can do. I'm not very disciplined and will always take the easy route, but Joe keeps me on track. He's encouraging, positive and knowledgeable and doesn't mind when I forget what it was I was meant to be doing (or at least he doesn't let it show :)) A quick note about the training environment. I was initially pretty intimidated about going into a 'proper' gym and feeling like I didn't belong. This is going to sound very cheesy but Joe and his program changed my life. I have struggled with my weight for years and have tried lots of other 'weight loss' packages. One of best friends joined Joe's 60 day challenge programme last year and could not stop talking about how amazing it was. I now know why. I joined Joe's 60 day challenge in September 2021. From the start I loved it and Joe is so motivating and encouraging. During our weekly meetings, there was never any blame or disapproval if weight had been gained or not as much weight was lost as expected. Instead, Joe encourages you to think about your food choices and recondition yourself to stop thinking that certain foods are 'good' or 'bad'. You learn to understand the value of all food groups and macronutrients whilst maintaining a healthy calorie deficit. After finishing the first 60 day challenge in September, I joined the next one in November! I have lost just over 12kg in 120 days. However, more than that, I have changed my relationship with food, changed the way I view my body and understand that exercise is about moving your body and improving your mental health-not just about earning food or burning off calories. I’ve taken part in two of Joe’s 60 Day Weight Loss Challenges and have lost 2 stone to date (with a way to go yet!) For the first time in my life I feel like I am making steady progress in getting down to a healthy weight, but more importantly I feel like I am making long term, sustainable changes to my life that means I will be able to maintain and manage my weight going forward. Joe is an incredible support; positive and unjudgemental and he really supports you with ways of making weight loss feasible within the boundaries of real life. I’m finding I’m not hungry and I’m happier, healthier, have a more positive relationship with all foods (no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ foods!) and I have a better understanding of the science behind my weight loss. I find the support of the group and weekly check in with Joe a huge motivation to stay on track and there is an option for training challenges alongside the weight loss challenge. Joe delivered well thought-out training sessions, targeting the areas I wanted to work on. I chose him over other trainers due to his manner - he really listened, understood and cared about helping. I trained with Joe for over three years in London and he worked on a varied and interesting schedule to get me fitter and healthier. He pushes you to quickly progress in a calm and helpful manner and encourages feedback to ensure you’re getting the most out of the sessions. I’m now working with Joe remotely on group sessions and really enjoying working with him again.

I’ve been training with Joe for 6 months, c.3x a week. Every session has been tailored to my needs, injuries, current mood (! ), and goals. He’s very good at taking onboard requests and has advice on hand for pretty much anything PT related. Very in tune- He knows when to push me and when to dial it down/adapt exercises. Made me get a GP letter to ascertain my health levels, at a cost of £60. Then started to try and reschedule appointments at short or cancel altogether. Very disappointing.

Hi Lisa, I'm so sorry you felt the level of service was not to your expected standard. As a reputable and qualified Personal Trainer it is my duty to ensure that any client I work with is safe to complete exercise. The 2 standard tests that are required to pass are a Blood Pressure and Resting Heart Rate test. My duty is to inform the client if a doctor's note is required due to scores received. Of course, this is to the client's discretion. This is certainly the first time I have heard of such a fee from a GP. I can only apologise for the rescheduling that occcurred when we set up training together. This was a challenging time. But of course, not the service that one should expect. If you feel I can be of support at this current time remotely to make up for this please do make contact with me. I am offering a lot of free group sessions via zoom video during lockdown. I worked with Joe for just over 1 year and could not recommend him more highly! I saw him once a week for workout sessions at his gym, and I completed the at home / at my own gym sessions he designed for / with me 3 - 5 times a week on my own. The sessions with Joe were always interesting, diverse, and fun, and my home sessions were effective and worked well with my sessions with Joe. I was away for 4 months, and Joe devised a series of outdoor workouts to help me keep up the training while I was gone. I only stopped working with Joe because I moved to a different continent! Joe was great for everything health-related, including nutrition advice, and always put my own goals / needs first, meaning I had a highly personalized series of sessions and workouts. He was also always easy to reach via email or text for questions! All around, a great trainer, very nice guy, and wonderful experience. More...

Joe was my trainer when he lived in Mexico - I WISH he was still here. Its hard to articulate, but not only did he train me very hard, but I he showed me that I could do things which I thought would be impossible for me. Ive extended this "I can" attitude in to other parts of my life, like work with great results.
