After making contact with Jeanette I felt confident I was in good hands for my project. Very good to talk to and so helpful. Once I explained what I was looking for and only forwarding a photo of my self when I was younger she took much time to research on line various points I brought up regarding my portrait. On receiving my portrait I was overwhelmed by the final outcome. Only when you see the art work the thought, research, detail she put into the final picture I new I got the right artist to do my portrait. She brought an old photo back to life for me. Iam so grateful and now happy to give Jeanette more projects I have planned. Amazing. More...

Illustrators
Jeanette has been a real pleasure to work with. She is a very gifted artist and has been able to illustrate a wide variety of different scenes with accuracy and care.
She created some beautiful pen and ink illustrations for each chapter of my book and a superb book jacket design in watercolours.
I would very very highly recommend Jeanette.

What do you love most about your job?
They say that variety is the spice of life and I love researching as much as I can about any particular topic, which is a great help when drawing something specific. For example, it may be a chapter with historic influences like the Elizabethans so I would look into Tudor decor and fashion or it may be animal behaviour and facial expressions, style of architecture, a specific artist and movement or style.
I also like that no two days are the same. One day I could be on an adventure in the jungle or going back in time when illustrating a children's book, the next day I could be working on a large realistic portrait from a photograph.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After years working in the creative field, I decided to start working freelance from home so that I could keep working while my husband slides cosily into semi-retirement.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a bit of an all-rounder and fortunate enough to be able to turn my hand to most areas of art and illustration. I am extremely keen to take on a challenge and enjoy working towards a detailed brief.
My main objective is to build a rapport and maintain a close relationship with the client throughout the entire process. I will work closely with you during the developmental stages and project progression right the way through to completion. This is to ensure we are both on the same page at all times and ultimately leads to a far more efficient way of working, resulting in a fun project for me and a happy client!
I am currently setting up a website with links to an online store and social media in the new year, if not sooner! I will, however, keep updating my Bark portfolio on a regular basis.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
If I am based nearby then it makes sense to meet up, if only to introduce myself and discuss my work but nowadays, it's just as easy to work remotely and provide an online service with regular discussion via telephone, email and Zoom, if necessary.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have a large studio in my garden which means I can work from home at any time of the day and with everything at my fingertips!
