I highly recommend Johan. His understanding of training and what suits different individuals is brilliant. He’s not pushy, very flexible, and somebody you can enjoy spending time with whilst improving your fitness.

I’ve been doing boxing and kick boxing training with Johan weekly for a year and have loved every session. He makes each session different and introduces new skills and combos to keep you challenged. He always pitches it perfectly to make sure I get a good work out whilst improving my technique. Johan is charismatic and great fun, a real joy to be around. A year has passed since I started training with Johan. He is a very professional and highly motivational trainer. He most definitely knows what he is doing. When we started I had tension in my shoulders as I work at the computer for hours. Thanks to Johan my shoulders are now fine and I no longer feel any tension. He always listens and most importantly HEARS what I say and based on this has built a program for our sessions. I want to point that our training is always fun and I really like the fact that he always changes the exercises so I never get bored. The nutritional plan that he gave me is amazing!!! Johan is a top trainer and a top man too! I genuinely enjoyed all the sessions I had with him.

The workouts are well-structured and we were able to track my progress every week, which kept me motivated. The fact that Johan takes the time to carefully craft each workout to ensure I was achieving my goals shows how much he cares about his work and his clients.

Even if I was in a bad mood before a session or simply wasn't up for it that day, I knew that as soon as I turned up and got going I'd feel much better, and that's all down to Johan. He's a great motivator, has a great personality, is easy to get along with and knows his stuff.

I can't recommend Johan enough! Very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

I started training with Johan in the middle of Covid winter and my sessions were absolutely the highlight of my week. Not only is Johan a lovely guy, but he sincerely considers your fitness goals and thoughtfully crafts your workouts, making sure to diversify the exercises to keep things interesting. He pays attention to your form and motivates you throughout, which makes a huge difference, especially on those days you're feeling a bit sluggish. We always finished the HIIT style workouts with a few rounds of boxing, which was always the most fun for me.

It an be challenging to find a trainer who is knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, facilitates a good workout, and also has a great personality, so I feel very grateful to have connected with Johan. My one constructive criticism is that having grown up as a competitive athlete I expect and enjoy being pushed to my limits in a coached workout (which not everyone does), and there were times where I felt I could have been pushed harder. However, once I mentioned this to Johan he listened.

I stopped my sessions because I moved out of the city, but overall had a very positive experience which left me fitter and stronger. Johan is a wonderful trainer and person who I would highly recommend.

I have been training with Johan for almost a year now and I cant praise him highly enough. Having tried many different trainers and gyms over the previous 4 years I was delighted when I was introduced to Johan by a friend. He has been a tower of support to me and has enabled me to get back to exercise after a serious injury caused in a gym. I was determined to avoid surgery and despite being nervous of doing weight training again and causing further injury, I am thrilled to say that I am now almost pain free and can do movements I would never have thought possible. This is all through gentle but focused exercises targeted specifically at my capabilities and which I have improved on systematically over the last few months. I never thought I would be where I am today if you had asked me a few months ago. Johan is professional, knowledgeable and motivating but also fun, caring and very kind. I hope to be training with Johan for many years to come and even on my bad days, or the days I could so easily not work-out, Im always glad I did at the end. Working out with Johan has been truly excellent and I recommend him and Jay Longevity Coaching unreservedly. This is not faint praise: not only I strongly dislike sports in general (particularly going to the gym! ) this has been a troublesome time in my life, and - of course - Covid made it all even more challenging. Despite all those challenges, Johan has been great ensuring I make the most of every session, and see a improvement in the long run. He has been timely, extremely professional, attentive and engaging (and Covid-aware). He has developed a custom program for me, and, as the sessions progress, adapted it accordingly in order to push me - albeit at a good pace and, importantly, mindful that I don't get hurt. He has done the very best to keep me engaged and motivated, bringing me along to the much needed change in mindset to allow me to get in shape. Some P.T.s might be goal-oriented, some can be attentive task-masters but few can be a true gentleman and scholar: Johan is willing to patiently chat about the why's and what's of an established exercise, talk biomechanics, anatomy, nutrition and all interconnections - wise beyond his years. This genuine open-mindedness and willingness to keep learning and keeping updated about current and past useful techniques or trends are a definite advantage. The results are definitely starting to show, physical and mental improvements: better muscle tone (my wife is very happy!) increased strength, increased stamina and improved mood. I believe that fitness and exercise should fit around your lifestyle and based on your needs and wants. No one wants to do something they don’t enjoy doing. Therefore, exercise should be structured around what YOU like whilst being fun, enjoyable and structured towards achieving your goals.

It may take some time finding what it is that you enjoy doing but that’s the job of a coach.

As a trainer, I work with you. But as a coach, we work together.
