Wow! what can I say. After being let down by another plumber I got hold of James Brothers 23rd December in the evening. Even though they were closing for Christmas they assured me they would try and get a plumber to us to try and fix our boiler. Ryan arrived within the scheduled time, identified the fault went to get the parts and in less than 3 hours we have hot water and heating. First time since Monday!!! So, at over 20+ years old, last Friday we finally replaced our old gas boiler, along with eight even older radiators. Over time we’d added an electric fire, free-standing gas fire and 3 oil filled radiators to provide extra heat - all continuously increasing our costs as energy prices rise. Still, our old Victorian terraced house remained freezing cold. The new boiler and radiators were fitted and installed in a day by James Brothers Plumbing and Renovations, and the difference they have made is transformational. The house feels warm and lived in for the first time in many, many years. Throughout the day, the team who undertook the work were unfailingly cheerful, considerate, friendly and professional. Just had a new boiler fitted. You were highly recommended to me and now I also 100% recommend you. Ryan and his team are very professional, polite and reliable. Everything was sorted out within just a few days which was much appreciated as there’s nothing worse than a cold house with no hot water !! Awful communication! Waited in and they didn’t turn up. They turned up twice when we were at work and they knew this. Then turned up with wrong materials so didn’t do the job! I have used James Brothers on a few occasions now. The first time was an electrical issue. They were there promptly and sorted the problem efficiently. Since, they have serviced my gas boiler and even returned straight away when I thought the heating wouldn’t work. But I hadn’t switched it on!! 🤭They were very patient and helpful. Unfortunately I was let down by the service from James Brothers. Asked to service my boiler & water cylinder. They confirmed this was done. 2 weeks later I receive an invoice and, after ignoring my initial email, they told me the water cylinder hadn't been done because they don't offer that service. I did have an apology eventually but still didn't help the situation and I had to pay extra to book a separate water cylinder service with someone else. More...

James Brothers have been a big let down for both of us, considering our tiny standard bathroom cost over £7000 and took 12 weeks to complete. The workers were all polite for the most part, but the main issues were the lack of communication between the workers and us and the lack of acknowledgement or apology from anyone when mistakes happened, which was partly with the plumbing and mainly with the tiling. The tile edges were so badly cut that we had to ask for corner guards to hide these. The new window frame was also boarded over on one side, which meant the other side had to be boarded aswell to make it even. This window was 100% installed in the correct position, contrary to what the tiler says as I have proof. We've now also received an email stating the tiler blames the type of tile used for the mistakes, which is just testament to his work ethic. The list goes on, but the photos speak for themselves (couldn’t upload all). If it wasn't for Sarah trying so hard to fix clear issues that she also said she wouldn't have accepted, then this review would have been much more critical. More...
