Jaelyn produces absolutely beautiful work. After seeing stunning portraits that she shot for a mutual friend, I hired her to do my daughters 1st birthday photos. She brought props, had creative pose suggestions, and was skilled at keeping my daughters attention and coaxing smiles. The photos from that photo shoot are among my most prized possessions. We have since hired Jaelynn for a family portrait session, and despite my 3 years olds refusal to cooperate, Jaelyn still managed to capture several beautiful shots. Highly recommended! Jaelyn did a mommy and me mini shoot for my daughter and I. She was super friendly and on time, and flexible. She was very Patient and let us go at our own speed. My daughter was being super clingy and not wanting down which is unlike her, Jaelyn had the idea to turn on music on her phone to get my daughter to come out of her shell a bit, and it worked. I know it can be really hard to photograph toddlers, she did a great job and I appreciate her patience, flexibility and creativity. The photos came back to us very quickly as well and we love them! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Capturing real moments! You’ll never find me telling you to look straight at the camera and smile. I prefer capturing authentic, beautiful moments for you to cherish.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always prefer to meet a client before our session either face to face or via zoom, to meet each other so we’re all comfortable on the day of the session. I will send a personal questionnaire to each client before a session to figure out what they want most from our time together.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the look on a clients face when they see their images for the first time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I feel in love with photography when I took a film photography class at age 13. It has been my passion since then!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am fully vaccinated and will maintain social distancing and wear proper ppe. Sessions are booked with time in between to allow for santising anything that may have been touched during previous session.
