Im lucky to be able to eat wherever we choose and always feel ig is important to give constructive feedback. My family and friends enjoyed a great lunch at The Imperial Arms yesterday. The staff were really friendly, the menu was extensive and fairly priced but the quality of the good eclipsed everything. Excellent feedback from all of us, I would recommend the scampi which were superb. We will definitely be back and we will take the rest of our family, plus the puppies as they are dog friendly. Good work from the owners, it's not difficult to be welcoming but its surprising how often establishments simply can't be bothered. This is a cosy little pub with very friendly staff and lovely food. I had the Surf & Turf at 50% off on Monday and it was superb. The lobster had been taken out of the shell which made it very easy to eat and the steak was good, it was a very enjoyable meal at a low cost. There is also the Bistro which I was shown and it looks fantastic, a beamed high ceilinged room with large chandeliers and it looks really historial. The Bistro is open from Thursdays onwards and I can't wait to go there and have Sunday lunch. It's a real gem of a place that I never knew about before. This place is very highly recommended! More...

I had lunch there today. I had the chicken curry and a pint for £9.95!!! It was absolutely excellent. For the price the quality of the food was amazing. I certainly won't be wasting my time going to Wetherspoons again! This is in a totally different league. The governor and the staff were all very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I cannot tell you how excited I am to FINALLY find a local that does an amazing Sunday roast! I even put a Facebook post a few weeks back asking for recommendations and everyone told me to head into London. Not anymore, what a hidden gem and so great to know that it’s an independent pub and not a chain! I had the roast beef and my husband had the lamb. Huge portions, cooked to perfection, fresh (!!) and a big jug of gravy. Lovely ambience in their courtyard bistro, tucked away. Service was so friendly and welcoming with excellent wine recommendations. Planning to come back during the week, they have live music on a Thursday. Can’t wait! More...
