As someone in my late 40s now, aches and pains tend to linger a little longer than they used to these days. I've had a new and persistent shoulder blade pain for some months now, finally came to the realisation that it wouldn't fix itself, so went back to Ian for my second visit in as many years. Like the last time, Ian had a chat and a check with me, set to work - and it feels like he's completely sorted the issue first time again. I could literally feel the shoulder realigning as he worked. He's also kindly sent through an exercise plan to try to stay on top of this too. I can't think of many businesses anywhere that offer this level of expertise, honesty, friendliness and aftercare. Ian is superb, highly recommended 👌 More...

I went to see Ian with chronic lower back pain. Ian run through a number of checks with me and was very thorough and professional throughout. Unfortunately, initially he was unable to carry out treatments until I had had more medical checks and quite rightly so. Following this, Ian agreed to work with me. During my 1 and only session after this, Ian talked through a number of treatments that would benefit me. Ian spent time carrying out a number of things and I am glad to say I have been pain free for 6months following this. Ian has been a miracle worker. More...

I cannot recommend Ian enough 😁 he’s is like your little black book of knowledge 😂 I reached out to Ian for treatment as I’ve had major surgery due to an injury which has totally brought me down to earth with a bang. We have worked together and discussed my treatment plus I’ve asked a lot of questions 🫣. I wouldn’t be where I am now without Ian treatments, I cannot thank Ian enough. More...

What do you love most about your job?
Helping clients improve their daily living quality by relieving pain, stress or other symptoms, or simply helping them to relax is what I love most.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The difference in quality and knowledge on offer within the massage therapy industry is astounding at times. I qualified to the highest level possible to offer a consistently high level of service to give confidence to all clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
I ensure enough time is always available for each appointment to suit the needs of tbe client. I also go the extra mile to research the best treatment in each case.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can offer a mobile therapy service for clients who are unable to get to my treatment room, although not all treatment modalities are available this way.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Government guidelines for the industry have been followed all through the pandemic. I’m a member of both the federation of holistic therapists and the sports therapist association. Both of whim keep their members up to date with any changes in guidance as it happens.
Sports massage
Sports massage can involve many varied techniques - deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release, MET stretching etc. Whatever modality suits the client best can be used during the treatment. Whether it is for injury rehabilitation, recovery or maintenance, I will always adapt the sports massage to suit the clients needs. I always follow up with home based rehab exercise to assist too.
Indian Head massage
A relaxing seated massage focusing on neck, shoulders and scalp to relax and rejuvenate. Use of oil and hot stones can often enhance the treatment even further.
Myofascial cupping
Myofascial cupping works by lifting the tissues to allow blood and nutrients to flood into the area of pain or discomfort, often providing instant relief from painful symptoms. Massage can also be carried out by gliding the cups over the fascia to effect tissue release.
Hot and cold stone therapy
Hot stones are used to enhance and deepen any massage treatment by encouraging tissue to release as it absorbs the heat. The use of cold stones in conjunction with this vastly increases blood flow to areas where it is required for tissue repair.
dry needling
Dry needling is an extremely effective technique in the release of trigger points within the fascia. When these occur and cause fascial or muscular tightening, the pain can be immense. The needles elicit a twitch response which helps to release the tension and relieve the pain.
Reiki
Reiki is a fantastic form of hands on energy healing, to assist with many conditions. It is really good for relaxation and calming the mind too. Clients often report feeling waves of energy coursing through them helping to renew positive energy throughout the body.
