EXPERIENCE
I have worked in Brighton and Hove as a Counselling Professional for a number of years. As well as running a private practice in Brighton and Hove, I work with adults as a counsellor for The Rock Clinic and The Holistic Health Centre and I have previously worked at the University of Sussex Student Counselling Service and in Mental Health Support for Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM).

I specialise in helping people face and overcome the issues that are causing them anxiety and distress. I can offer you the opportunity to understand and process painful past experiences, relationships and family histories. I am particularly experienced in working successfully with anxiety and panic attacks. My own approach draws on both CBT and psychodynamic therapy. By exploring your immediate symptoms and their underlying causes together, we will face your fears. We will work to reduce your negative or frightening thought patterns and behaviours and replace them with realistic ones. When this work is established, we will then work on how you can stay in control to prevent potential relapses.

My counselling is LGBT+ affirmative. I have worked with a wide range of clients from the LGBT community and I have experience in working therapeutically with a number of the issues those belonging to the LGBT+ community face.

Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Birkbeck, University of London (BACP accredited training course)
Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the University of Sussex
