Services

Domiciliary Care and Homecare in your home.

Domiciliary care is when a carer offers personal visiting support at home. Unlike live-in care which provides ongoing assistance, domiciliary care services occur on an ad-hoc basis or via a scheduled service, and are more suitable for those who require personal care including general housekeeping visits or overnight support.

Our trained carers deal with our clients with the utmost discretion, allowing you to feel comfortable and completely at ease at all times. Everyday tasks like bathing and dressing come naturally to most people, but they can be a daily struggle for some individuals. Our domiciliary care services provide comprehensive, compassionate personal care at home, aiding you with tasks that may have become painful or difficult.

Our aim in what we provide in our domiciliary care services is to make your day-to-day life easier and less stressful, whilst preserving the familiar surroundings you are most comfortable with. We believe that everybody should be able to live as painlessly as possible, without undue stress or worry. Therefore, we encourage and promote independence where possible, so that you can continue to live a full and content life.

Those of us who are more vulnerable will find that it is even more vital to get these daily hours of rest in order to make the most of the time spent awake. When faced with disability or illness such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia, a wakeful or restless night can lead to a compromised immune system and result in the need for further care during the day.

At Huntleigh Medical Healthcare Limited we encourage our clients to retain their independence and to live their lives to the fullest. This would not be a possibility if they didn’t get the sleep they require. We offer two types of overnight home care services: Waking Night Care and Sleeping Night Care.

Our night care services are always flexible as it is of paramount importance to us that you are happy with the support you receive. Therefore, your personal night support plan will be arranged completely around you and your particular situation. The Waking Night Care or the Sleeping Night Care Services can be added to a larger Domiciliary Home Care support plan and the roles your night carer takes on can be organised to suit your individual needs.

Waking night support involves having an experienced and highly trained carer staying at home with you during the course of the night usually beginning their shift late evening and finishing midway through the morning. The exact times can be arranged to a time convenient to you and that you chose. Your carer would stay awake through the course of the night and be at hand for when you wake and require their assistance or care services.

At Huntleigh Medical Healthcare Limited we have a specialist team of trained care staff who have the knowledge and expertise to support with clients who require additional support in living their life to the fullest.

We support younger people, from the age of 18 years and over, to live safely and comfortably in the home they know and love. If you’re looking for support that is built around your lifestyle and routines, we can find a care worker or personal assistant that suits you.

Whether you’re looking for extra support at home, at day services or regular assistance to help you stay in your own home, we’ll match you with a personal assistant or support worker who will help you to continue living at home.

We offer two types of services; daily care and support is for short, frequent calls throughout the week, where you may choose to have help with going to the shops, get to and from work or have your support worker accompany you to social visits with friends. Whereas our live-in care service is when a carer lives with you to always be on hand for when you require assistance, perhaps if you have a long-term health condition that requires clinical intervention. Live-in carers may become more like a companion to you, rather than a carer. They’ll be there to accompany you to social events, lectures and work, enabling you to live life to the full on your terms.

The way we train our support workers is industry renowned. The way we see it, the standard of care is only ever as good as the last carer we’ve trained, so we exceed the statutory requirements for carer training. Because we directly employ all of our carers, they have our many years of homecare expertise to hand and support every step of the way.
