Fantastic hotel, squad rooms are great for the family with great views. All the staff are really helpful and would definitely return. Only criticism would be paying full price for breakfast for fussy children is a bit much, rather pay slightly more for adults and kids eat free. More...

I attended an event to see my daughter's and other students from Salford University pictures on display within Hotel Football and found the staff to be very polite and helpful. It was nice to see Gary Neville devote time from his busy schedule to speak to the students and pose for pictures with them - A fitting end to three years hard work by the students.

The food in the restaurant later in the day was excellent (The steak sandwich was first class) which was served by friendly, courteous employees.

Well worth a visit.

Great hotel, lovely rooms, gorgeous bed, fabulous shower. Great breakfast. Only issue is access to the car park, you press at the barrier to speak to reception to let you in, but if they’re busy they don’t answer and you are left blocking the road! Need to come up with a better system. More...

Brilliant. Overnight stay for work was comfortable, room service was good, food really nice.
A great touch was the reception updating my room to a stadium view after I had mentioned I was a fan and couldn’t wait to walk over and wander around the stadium. A really nice touch!!
Staff were really pleasant.
No complaints at all! Can’t wait to stay again

Bottomless tea and coffee or gin and prosecco cocktails and very attentive staff. I love this place! Had my 50th birthday party here and stayed for our anniversary too. Always a winner. Just spent a lovely weekend here. Loved our room, the hospitality, the decor, the food and the staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The location was perfect for sightseeing. Cannot fault anything but I would like to see a bit more of a food choice for us coeliacs although the chef was good and made me gluten free toast for breakfast. Thank you for a pleasant stay. It was the first time taking my two boys to Old Trafford to watch a game so I wanted somewhere to eat with them away from the traditionally more rowdy football spots around town. This place was great, we were made to feel welcome, were given great seats overlooking Old Trafford, food and service was top quality, and had an awesome time. It was my sons 6th Birthday, which was made even more special by them bringing out a birthday card and cake. Thanks guys, you made two little boys (and their Dad!) very happy. We’d definitely return in the future. More...

We are still here celebrating my partner's birthday for the weekend.
We are in a family room, 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the room is not only spacious with great views, but it's so clean and the complimentary mini bar is a great touch.

Our Portuguese 'Sue' on reception has been first class from the moment we arrived, beautiful, cheerful, kind, helpful and welcoming, the complimentary birthday drink on arrival got us off to a great start.

Harvey also deserves a shout out, what a lovely, genuine guy with great knowledge of the area, straight talker and funny! What a welcome into the restaurant. He really settled us in.

Food is great, atmosphere is perfect, we really have been blown away with our welcome to Manchester and we still have so much more to do, great location.

We will definitely be back!

5 stars from us

I visited the hotel, on my way to see friends, and boy was I impressed. I was amazed that the hotel is located right outside Manchester United football ground, not to mention the quality of the interior design. The interior is themed on Football, and in a very tasteful way, it really is quite stunning to say the least. I only stayed for a quick drink, however I will definitely look at booking in there the next time I am in the UK for business.

A fantastic hotel that you have to visit to say you have been there !

As a Liverpool fan, I often visit hotels in the North West when watching my favourite team play away. The Hotel Football establishment represents everything that is good about Football and of course a Hotel.

The staff are exceptionally polite and will do anything to help you enjoy your stay. The price is not actually that bad either, and the location is without doubt the best place to stay if you are watching a game at old trafford.

A top class hotel, with top class staff and the rooms are absolutely pristine.

I would award 10 Stars if I could !

Visited for a function commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the 1958 Munich disaster. Was very clean, smart and modern. Bar prices on ground floor reasonable considering where you are. Had 3 course meal in function suite and very impressed by the value. Good quality, well presented and served hot which is often an issue in mass catering. This is the downstairs bar at the hotel which is open to fans before a game, if you can get in. literally yards from the ground, fantastic position. Fair play to Gary Neville and the boys for nicking this spot.

Obviously a lot easier to get a table when it's not match day. Nice bar, reasonable prices, drinks in glasses, bar food looks good, usual burgers and bar food. Enjoyable atmosphere. Will go again if I can get in!

Had a great time at the Hotel Football. Excellent service from all members of staff. Arrived with a very excited Manchester United fan and was given a room with a great view of Old Trafford by the lovely receptionist.

The fridge is full of goodies which brought back nostalgia and was a great treat after travelling.

The room itself was immaculate, the shower is phenomenal.

The restaurant was high quality, reasonably priced and again with the most attentive staff.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are an asset to the company and I can only thank them for such a great stay.

We stayed here as we had a party close by at Victoria Warehouse. Fantastic rooms overlooking Old Trafford. Beds really comfy and great showers. There was a huge group of us and we had a great time meeting up before and after the party in the bar.
Only issue was that most of the party had been able to book a discounted room which included breakfast but I was informed that none were available. I had fortunately booked some time ago so managed to get a room although no breakfast included so not able to comment. Although I believe that breakfast was good from those that had it included. Staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular the bar staff that coped very well with the large group of us. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Good service from the staff, all areas of the hotel were clean and tidy. The rooms and public areas are themed as you’d expect.
The bedrooms are large enough as are the bathrooms. A nice little touch by the hotel for a kids (and big kids) mini bar.
One downside is that the hotel car park is across a busy dual carriageway. Not good for when your carrying bags and trying to herd kids.

Lovely experience, next to old Trafford, BUT eating ! sirloin steak was very poor ! Quality of beef not good at all, burger however was great, staff are lovely, rooms are superb, we went to the Neil Diamond concert and when we came back we wanted to have a night cap in a nice bar/lounge , not going to happen ! !!! Maybe we are not the right age demographic 60s, seems a very much
like a motel with children's / youth club theme and pictures , great for match days, will have to raise its standards if united build their own boutique hotel, which it will ! Nice idea but sorry, not great, will definitely stop in the city centre next time , sorry , gave it a try :)

Fantastic stay at hotel football.

Can't ask for a better location as a United fan, had a great room facing OT. Hailey (receptionist) was outstanding, very helpful with all of our questions - and personable to boot. Without a doubt the best receptionist experience I've ever had at a hotel.

Entire minibar was complimentary, including some snacks, waters, candy, and local beer.

Room size is outstanding as well - very big compared to other hotels I've been at in the UK, with reasonable pricing.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Manchester area - even if you're not in town for a match.
