food was gorgeous, however, the peas that came with it would have been better on a plate rather than the flat chopping board that the meal came on. And the ice cream that came with the lovely fudge cake was more like an iced sorbet, that was a little disappointing. Overall enjoyed our meal ! More...

Don't tend to write reviews often but Calder & Hops definitely deserve it for our last 2 visits. 1st was Pride - The whole team absolutely nailed it the whole day in our opinion! Polite, quick and efficient considering the amount of people in the venue!!! :D Did have a little trouble getting into the venue at first due to unreasonable and bad mannered security on doors. Thankful to the management who went out of their way to sort this issue quickly though and soon we was enjoying our time like everyone else. Very comfortable atmosphere all day with great entertainment from the drag queen's. 2nd visit - Went a few days later to see if the food was upto standard and definitely exceeded are expectations. The new menu has alot of variety to suit most much better than the previous one. Plenty of offers on food and drinks too! Food got served in good time, very tasty and zero complaints. Compliments to the chef ;) Will recommend steak night on Thursdays and the steak got cooked to liking which most places struggle with. Credit to the whole team, both times give you 5/5. Went in here for a lunch date, we ordered a chicken and bacon salad and a bbq chicken baguette with curly fries plus two drinks. The meals arrived and my meal hadn’t the curly fries that we had ordered so after waiting nearly 30 mins for food, I had to wait an extra 10 mins for my meal, I was very disappointed. Whilst waiting for my meal, the hapless staff member came over to our table to apologise for the mix up, we did tell him that we did order the curly fries to go with my meal but he had decided not to take any notice or listen to the customers, I was absolutely livid! The meal eventually came and to be honest, I absolutely hated every single bite apart from the curly fries, the other meal, the salad was as dry as cardboard. We were bitterly disappointed with the whole situation, extremely poor customer service, disgusting food and such a poor attempt of an apology. Will definitely not be coming here ever again, would not recommend. More...

lovely place to be!! great family pub.....Relaxing atmosphere during the day with lovely meals and cheap drinks and deals . ..all the staff is very welcoming and polite.... fantastic place on and evening and night time with different drink deals to suit everyone, the atmosphere is fantastic on an evening/nighttime..definitely my go to place to start my night out, would highly recommend 😊 More...

Awful awful food! Tried 3 times in 2 weeks and each meal terrible! Was never the best for food, you sort of know what to expect with places like this (reheated microwaved crap) but the food is awful! Staff nice and friendly enough
