I wholeheartedly recommend Debbie and her treatments. Such a friendly lady who loves what she does and this comes through in the effort she puts in to giving you the best possible experience she can. Not only do I keep making monthly appointments, I've also bought gift vouchers for friends. Highly recommended if you want some relaxation and pampering. 5 gold stars 🌟 More...

Q&As

Being able to help people, especially with massage as I put a lot of love and thoughts of healing into every one. I think it makes a real difference as it shows people you care about what you do and how it makes them feel. I love meeting new clients and making them feel special by treating them how I would want to be treated.

It sort of just happened. Many years ago I did a massage course and then went into a totally different career due to family commitments. So I recently retrained in massage and beauty treatments as I wanted to help people

I give a very personable service. I listen to clients' needs and endeavour to help them. Often people come to me with physical/mental pain and suffering and it is so rewarding when you help alleviate symptoms and really make a difference to people's lives. When clients come for beauty treatments, I like them to leave feeling fabulous and truly pampered. I also love to have a natter when the treatments' allow!

I always wear a mask and everything is cleaned in between appointments, so clients can feel safe in the knowledge that everything is as safe as it can be.

Services

Swedish Massage is the most traditional of all techniques. It consists of a combination of five basic strokes - effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement and vibration which are used to facilitate circulation and relaxation. The client, covered with a sheet, lays on a massage table. Only the area of the body being worked on is exposed.

It is especially good for:

Chronic pain, constipation, hyperactivity, low back pain, migraines, neck pain, nervous disorders, poor concentration, poor flexibility, premenstrual syndrome, relaxation and stimulation of blood and lymph flow.

I offer a 60 minute Full Body, a 90 Minute Full Body (giving more time for the Back, Neck and Shoulder area), a Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage for 30 minutes and also 60 minutes for clients with more specific problem areas.

The objectives of Indian Head Massage are to reduce stress, increase oxygen in the hair follicles to stimulate growth and health of hair, renew and balance energy levels by working with the three higher chakras, relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety, boost memory capabilities, stimulate lymphatic drainage by circulating blood to the neck area, prevent headaches and migraines by releasing tension in the head and neck area and reducing muscle stiffness and to help with the circulation of cerebral spinal fluid.

Therefore, it is particularly good for anyone suffering from headaches and migraines, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety and tension.

On a spiritual level it releases blockages of the chakras and therefore improves the flow of energy throughout the body to enable healing.

It treats the head, shoulders, neck and face and uses circular movements along acupressure points, strokes and stretches.

Clients report that the experience is deeply calming and relaxing, leaving them feeling energised and revitalised and better able to concentrate.

An Indian Head Massage is 45 minutes and costs £25

Lomi Lomi is known as the 'loving hands' massage. This name helps to explain its principles - the massage works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, allowing the recipient to relax and give in to the nurturing touch.

Lomi lomi works from the belief that memories are not just stored in the brain and mind, but also in every cell of the human body. The long, continuous strokes of the massage are designed to help the body let go of its old patterns and behaviours, which can cause as many stresses and strains as muscle tension.

'Lomi lomi' translates to 'rub rub' in Hawaiian, and reflects the broad, flowing strokes made with the therapist's fingers, thumbs, palms, arms and elbows. Macadamia, palm and coconut oils are usually used as moisturisers in lomi lomi massage, to keep the strokes smooth and to nourish the skin.

Many believe that the healing art of Lomi lomi was brought to Hawaii by the earliest Polynesian settlers, while others believe that it is deeply infused with the practice of ‘living aloha’ - a carry-over from ancient Hawaii and the mystical land of Mu. The Hawaiian lomi lomi massage can also be referred to as Kahuna bodywork.

Lomi lomi aims to treat the body and mind as one whole being. It is thought to:

release tension

assist blood and lymph flow

eliminate waste and stimulate toxins

rejuvenate the body

instil a sense of peace, harmony and wellbeing

This is a full body massage lasting 60 minutes and costs £40

During a hot stone massage, the techniques of a regular massage are applied. However, the therapist also works with hot stones that are placed on specific parts of the body.

The stones are smooth and flat and usually made of the volcanic rock type called basalt. These particular stones are chosen because they retain heat.

The stones used for a hot stone massage are placed in hot water to warm up before being applied. They are then placed onto specific areas of the body, such as:

the back

the stomach

the face

the hands

the feet

Some massage therapists hold the stones in their hands and use them to massage with. This allows the therapist to get deeper into the muscles without more pressure, helping their client to relax yet further.

Occasionally, cold stones can be used on the face or after the hot stones have been applied. Cold temperature helps to calm swollen blood vessels and soothe hot skin.

This type of hot stone therapeutic treatment is thought to have originated in China almost 2,000 years ago. Since then, the technique of using stones for healing has been used in many different cultures, including the Americas, Africa, Egypt, and India.
